Just a thought.... There is a heavy electro-magnetic field on the island and communication devices don't seem to work. As time goes by, we are seeing more aircraft and ships from different places and times.(i.e. the brig,the submarine,Mr. Eko's drug plane, etc. I realize that the location isn't right but there are similarities.
