Let's not give up yet. I just thought of a possibility. Eko was very near death. Perhaps "They" refers to the souls of the underworld, who had their grasp on him. Aren't there some theories that Smokey is the guardian of the underworld? There is quite a bit of communication with the dead on this island implying that the island could be a gateway.

But if that's the case, Boone is one of "They". My money is still on polar bears.

Dman i love this show!!!! First a wanted to wait untill season 6 was complete, to watch the whole show again, but now, I think i'm gonne watch it before and after season 6, man cause I love how i can always find some new detail!!!!!
