That scene could certainly involve a twist. One idea I've been toying with is that Jacob may not have saved (or even helped) John after his fall. If John has been a pawn in this whole story, then why was he healed so miraculously when the plane crashed? To the Others, it made him special, which is what opened the door for him to become their leader. The island's healing power may be limited and may have nothing to do with Jacob. Perhaps Jacob was responsible for John's paralysis so that he would appear special when he landed on the island. I don't know why Jacob would do this, especially since it seems to play in hands of MIB. But it sure would make for an interesting twist.

When I say that Jacob may have been responsible for John's paralysis, I mean that he may have planted it in his mind and that he may not have actually been paralyzed - knowing that the island's healing powers will clear his mind. I also wonder if Abaddon was one of Jacob's off-island recruits, like the "What lies in the shadow" people. He may have only been working for Whitmore to keep tabs on him. His real task was to make sure people "get to where they need to be."

g8rfan, thats a great theory. I was thinking about John's paralysis a couple days ago when i was watching 'exodus' and i started wondering about what a satisfactory answer for that mystery would be, and honestly i could not come up with one. i feel like just the island being special, and 'radiating' some special energy into him would be somewhat of a letdown at this point, it seems to easy for Lost. But your theory would certainly be an awesome way to answer that particular mystery, good job, im loving it. But that would only further the tragedy known as John Locke though, lol and i dont know if i can handle it ![]()
