The Swan and the Bomb

When the bomb detonated at the swan there was a bright flash of energy but it was fully neutralized by the pocket of energy this force was enough to kill Juliet. But the force was not strong enough to hurt anyone else.

The remaining Dharma people begin to investigate what exactly happened and to their horror they relize the pocket of exotic energy was not completly neutralized. Some of the energy remains and its getting bigger, eventually it will expand and will not be contained and the world will end.

The origianl purpose of the swan station was to experiment with electromagntec fields. But now the station has been redesigned to operate as a containment device for the pocket of energy.

The Force and Counter Force of the energy of the bomb meeting the pocket of energy might have also tried to "balance" of things. perhaps we could see the losties being transported back to the present on the island.

Women stopped being able to give birth on the island

Richard recruited Juliet to come to the island.

Juliet wants to leave the island and is told Jacob will cure her sister of cancer if she stays.

Ben screams at Juliet that she is his.

Ben sends Juliet with Kate to join the Survivors to keep a close eye on the pregnant women (?)

All this so that Juliet can detonate an H-bomb in the past???

Doesn't Dr Chang lose his arm in an accident? Sort of looked like when Juliet fell down the hole, the magnetic force subsided and Miles was able to pull Dr Chang away from the mess. One of the variables changes in the equation.

I can't imagine how Dharma will be able to regroup, build the swan station, determine that every 108 minutes a button needs to be depressed, and program a computer to disperse the electromagnetic energy? I mean even Radzinsky who is driving this project has no clue the magnitude of what he is drilling into but Dharma will figure it all out after the Incident?

You didn't see that huge piece of metal that flew through his hand?

and how would juliet's story lose it's meaning? Every single characters actions on the island (and off) led to the circumstances they are experiencing now.

Sugarnuts - - I saw where he was hurt by the debris but it did not look like it was damaged enough to eventually require them to remove his arm.

I know not every character will provide a zen like moment when they depart the show but everything that has happened with Juilet does not lead up to detonating an H-bomb. When that happened, I was not like "oh yeah, now I fully understand her character." This is part of the problem with the show. I think the writer's were trying out some stuff creatively in those early seasons and trying to see what worked and what didn't. Not everything will be tied together and I get that (still bugs me but I get it) but I want to know why Ben felt strongly enough about her to send her lover to his death at the hands of the Survivors and when asked by Juilet "why?", he yelled something like "Because you're mine!"

screw it i will just say it. Juliet is dead, damon and carlton said she is dead and we may see her in a few scenese next season, she is dead.

the rumor about her getting a staring role on a new tv series is true, she is leaving lost.

This is why it is so hard to keep a long running tv series going. The threat of actors leaving all the time. Can you imagine if Harrison Ford told George Lucas that he had to leave in order to film another movie and they just decided to kill off Han Solo in the first 5 minutes of Return of the Jedi. Makes me wonder if this was their original intent with Juilet or did they adjust their story?

yeah i know what you mean, it sucks how the writers sometimes don't get to fill out a characters story due to some business bullsh*t. Sadly, it looks like this is the road desmond's character is going down, what with the lawsuit against henry ian cusik. That was probably the reason we didn't get much desmond in season.
