Default Remember the Evil Twin Stuff?

A couple of years back, I remember a lot of folks talking about the book Evil Twin and how it relates to LOST. There was speculation that the guy on the ship in the Antartic who called Penny was a guy who looked just like Jack. And other theories came out of that.

However, shortly this season's finale, a light bulb went off. What if the whole Evil Twin idea was meant for the shape shifter or took over Locke's body, Jack's father, Ben's daughter, Ecko's brother, and I am sure there are others. This would make sense. The under lying theme of Evil Twin is the idea of good vs. evil. So Jacob was good and the other guy was evil.

Anyone else care to expand on this idea?

I agree about the dark haired dude being a shape shifter and that's why we see Christian Shepherd, Claire, Eckos Brother, etc. I believe that was the dark hair dudes way of manipulating everyone on the island so that those chain of events could eventually lead him to "kill" Jacob. I think the Shape Shifter is only able to morph into people who are already dead. That's why we saw Dead Ana Lucia, Dead Eckos Bro, Dead Alex, Dead Locke etc.

I wish I could go back and watch from Season 1 to see all the instances that this occurred. I mean, was it the shape shifter dude who visited Hurley all those times? I cant believe this is the last season I hope they blow our mind next year.
