The name of a manuscript that Sawyer was reading back in season 1 and a book that was actually written by a man who was supposedly on that flight that crashed on the island. There were a bunch of the things the marketing folks from LOST were doing to drum up interest and maintain interest when the show was not on the air. The main title character from the book was named Widmore (not Charles).

This was part of the season 1 arg, The LOST Experience. This is really old. Not new in any way.
