What is the "Loophole"? John Locke

Who was the other guy? The opposing player in 'the game'

Which side is Christian really on? Christian's dead, he's not on anyones side. But Smokey/black shirt guy is using his image.

Someone answered to me in a thread that after season 3 had less succes, and after the strike during season 4, they where going to make two short seasons out of 5 and 6, wich we clearly noticed in 5.
How in the world are we going to get all these anwswers in 16/17 episodes???

I think Jacob is supposed to portray God and he was always there in the good times and bad...thus he healed John after his fall. He also respected everyone's free will to choose good or bad.
I am thinking that the other guy represents the devil or evil. He wanted to kill Jacob. I believe that he used Christian's person to give bad information to John and then used John's appearance once he died. I am still not sure what the island really represents and I don't believe that Jacob will remain dead. (not sure)

I don't think its a battle of good and evil. It's not that easy.

Jacob caused helped Sayid's wife get hit by a car. He let Kate steal without punishment, arguably leading to her life of crime. He helped Sawyer finish his letter, which consumed him with hatred for most of his life. Jacob doesn't represent pure 'good'.

Likewise, 'esau' isn't an evil being. he just doesn't want humans on this sacred island, his home, because he knows that every time they go somewhere, they "fight, kill, and corrupt."

I think that with kate isn't that true.
Remember kate in one of her flashbacks with a good friend/lover(can't remember:s) digging up a luchbox, wich they called their "timecapsule', and the boy picked a toy plane out of that same box, wich should represent oceanic 815
Notice that same boy is the one with whom she stole the lunchbox

The lunchbox that they stole, or i guess bought cause Jacob payed for it, is the same one kate and Tom dig up under the huge tree in one of her flashbacks. The plane tom was playing with in the season finale was also in the lunch box, they refered to it (the lunchbox) as a 'time capsule'.

Kate got caught because she got her ex-boyfriend to help dig up their time capsule. He got killed as a result of her finding him, and she got caught later. So i guess if kate doesn't get that lunch box, they dont bury a 'time capsule' and kate doesn't get caught and put on the plane.

I think i was digging too deep into it when i posted this. Someone else pointed out that By her never getting punished for stealing, she never learned not to do it. I think thats exactly right. Jacob knew she wouldn't learn her lesson, and thats exactly what he wanted, because it would lead her to the island. he helped her along her path to becoming a criminal and killing her father and spending her adult life on the run. All so he could get her to the island to play in his game. Manipulating people to your agenda isn't exactly a 'good' thing in my book.

Haha, i should have told that this whas coming from somebody else, i read it rally, just didn't remembered wich thread. But, really dude, i don't think you where digging too deep on that one, i think it's far better than just her 'criminal life".
