Unanswered Questions

I watched an interview of the two main guys of lost, i forget names. One of them said that by the end of the finale episode "the incident" people should finally have enough information to figure out how the show is going to end. The other guy with him said that perhaps there won't be enough information until the final episodes and there will be unanswered questions.

With enough thought and posts of ides the more questions the more theories the more fun!

many questions have been answered but we still have more to be answered. Only 1 more season and way to long to wait

What happened to the other 30+ original survivors of 815? They can't ALL have been hit with flaming arrows.

I think these four are already answered. John Locke was the loophole. Smokey needed someone in a position of power to impersonate, so he could get someone to kill Jacob. Jacob visited everyone because he was bringing people to the island, like he did with the black rock. Christian is dead, he's on no one's side. Every time we've seen christian on island its been smokey using his image. And the other guy is smokey. But thats not a very complete answer, they'll expand on his history and purpose and everything.

Sugarnuts, I think Ben is the loophole- smokey convinced him and Richard that he was special as a child, then did something to him in the temple to resurrect him before making his life a misery. John was just a small piece in the masterplan- smokey had to install two leaders, then get them off island so he could kill one and impersonate him, thus giving him the direct power over ben to get him to do the deed

Lurcher, your right i think it was a combination of the two. Ben's been getting manipulated along this path since he saw his mother outside his window when he was a kid. I definetly agree that Ben was a large part of the loophole esua found.

Esua needed someone to impersonate and someone to do his bidding (kill Jacob) because, for some reason, he couldn't do it himself.

Walt is special. Thats why the others kidnapped him. He seems to have the ability to imagine things into reality. There have been numerous scenes involving this, i'll give you the best example.

Remember when Locke was teaching Walt how to throw the knife? Walt couldn't get it, so Locke offered him this advice "You have to see it before you do it, picture it in your minds eye" Walt heeds this advice, he thinks about it, then BAM! he throws it perfectly and exclaims "wow, it happened just like i imagined it."

This scene perfectly illustrates Walts ability. He is able to take things from his 'minds eye' and make them a reality.

Lurcher, I like the idea that Ben is the loophole. Perhaps the loophole is that only a person Jacob had saved could kill him. Example: Jacob saves little Ben after he is shot. Ben becomes "leader" but not really. 'Esau' becomes Locke and turns Ben against Jacob and kills him. Since we've seen a lot of biblical references, I would even relate this to Christ being betrayed by the very people he came to save (Judas, Jews, Humanity, etc.)

I've also wondered if Ajira "316" relates in anyway to John 3:16? Any ideas about that?

Tolley, i don't think Jacob saved Ben. Esau/smokey did. Remember Richard took him into smokey's temple?

Im not sure how it fits, but it sounds like Locke would be the Jesus character, seeing as how he died. And i guess jacob could be the god figure, because he allowed him to die. His enigmatic statement "im sorry this happened to you" feels like theres more to it. Why did he apologize to John. Why not Sawyer or Sayid.
