In the future, where the barracks bear no evidence of the others ever living there after Dharma have gone- Danielle's message has never been left? I'm sure that as the co-pilot is calling for help, his radio is saying 4... 8... 15... etc. Was I imagining this? Sorry if this has already been discussed to death!

I dont quite understand what you mean here when you say no evidence of the Others ever having lived there. In 3 years lawns die, signs fall off their hooks, rain damages paint and the wind blows things all over the place.

How do you mean her message has never been left? Do you mean the second flight crashed in a time before Danielle had become shipwrecked on the island? I think it was estimated it had been about 1990. The plane crashed in current time, meaning Danielle's message is still on a loop, and therefore its highly likely that her frequency was picked up as its the only one available on the island

I thought he said the radio was dead? Anyone else hear that?

Yes, Lurcher, I noticed that too. I thought to myself that it was odd that the Others had kept the Dharma pictures on the wall. I also heard the numbers (only after BuddyTV pointed them out), but I didn't connect the two. Good job. I think they turned off Danielle's message at the end of Season 3, but don't recall number being put back on.

It's possible that the future has changed. Faraday says you can't change the future, but if everything is so set, then why was it so important to bring back the O6? It suggests that a repair is needed.

If the O6 did not come back, would Sawyer (knowing what happens) purge the Others instead of the other way around? Though the O6 are back, I think they need to get out of 1977 to complete the repair before it's too late. The problem with this theory though is that Dharma is gone in the future as well. Maybe they annihilated eachother.

Kellybee, rewatch any old barracks footage and it's just a generic little village, however when sun and frank walk in the place is still full of Dharma logos and welcome signs, as though either a- the purge never happened and dharma only vacated 3 years ago, or b- they've arrived literally as the hostiles are off dragging the bodies into a pit in the early 90s

Perhaps in the new timeline Dharma used the gas (it was theirs after all) killing off the others. If they were still really active towards 88 instead of cowering in a few hatches (as the lost experience would have us believe) they'd have both noticed Danielle's arrival and stopped her changing the message, possibly getting her to join them. Then in 04 widmore, who in this timeline escaped instead of being exiled, sends in a freighter to destroy Dharma using the gas and they succeeded?

Whitmore talks about an upcoming war. Could this be a war to be fought in the past?? It's very confusing to think of it as upcoming if it occurred in the past, but perhaps the changes that the 815ers make, don't take full effect until their time of origin passes. What I mean by that is, since they are supposed to be (I think) in 2007, a change they make in 1977 does not become permanant until 2007. If they, for example, play a role in mutual destruction in say 1980, then it won't be permanant until 2010. We may be starting to see the effects of the changed timeline, but there's still time to fix it.

I noticed the numbers thing, and you are correct...Danielle recorded them around 1990, but Sayid turned the looped message OFF in 2004. If they are in 2007, they shouldn't be hearing the message. So either they are not in 2007, or they are, and 2007 is...different now.

Same thing with the Barracks. You are correct, if they truly are in 2007, there shouldn't be Dharma **** everywhere. Even if the Others aren't there, the Purge should have already happened and Dharma traces moved.

I have a very strong feeling that whatever is going on with the 815ers who are in the 70s...is changing the future.
