I do not think that Claire will be the one to die. I believe it will be Michael if anybody goes or Juliet who was not on the list. I think Christian took Claire to make Jack come back to island. This is my therory that guilt over leaving his sister behind will eat at him. I think that is why he did not want to see Aaron.

Yeah, but just to be devil's advocate for a moment - might also be that her brother can protect him in the same way. I dunno. I don't WANT her to die - I am just afraid that it's the perfect way to get us all riled up. To stay passionate over the hiatus.

Exactly. In the future, we know that Jack is getting messages regarding Aaron and who is supposed to raise him. These messages lead Jack to the conclusion that they made a mistake and have to go back to the Island to fix it. If Claire is dead, what is to be fixed?

Yeah, I think Claire's pretty safe. Mostly because if she were dead during last week's falsh forward, Hurley's message from Charlie makes no sense.

"You're not supposed to him" Everyone (including Jack) immediately thinks that means Claire is supposed to. He gets upset, storms off.

If Claire is dead:
"You're not supposed to raise him"
Jack - "Then who the hell is?!?!!?!"

I also suspect that Sawyer stays behind to search for Claire. I'm guessing she stays missing for the rest of the season with Christian. Sawyer goes back to the beach, and gets a few people to help looks for her.

My bet is on Jin. I don't think I mentioned this anywhere, but if Kate was indeed talking to Sawyer, that puts Jin's "tombstone" in a different light. While it would still be hard not being with your husband physically, being able to call would make a workd of difference.

So IF Kate was talking to Sawyer, I think Jin doesn't make it off

NOTE - Jin's one of my favorites, so I HOPE Kate was talking to someone else (Clementine?), and following an old request from Sawyer and that Jin is alive on the island. From what we've seen of him, I wouldn't be surprised if he goes with Sawyer after Claire.

I think that Jin, Sawyer, Locke, Rose, Bernard and Claire will still be on the island when the season is over. They will be the reason that the oceanic 6 goes back. I really think if it it a season regular it will be Juliet, Micheal or one or two of the new people (hopefully not but you never know) and a lot of red shirts. I also think that most of the freight soilders will get killed by the last episode.

Oooh fishead you give me hope! That is why I was adamant until today that she would be safe - to live the prophecy. It just seemed to occur to me last minute that that is what Darlton would WANT us to think. Feel. Believe. But I agree with your assessment. They will be looking for her which is why they or she can't go. But there is also a space issue on the chopper. And one more thing: I don't think Kate was speaking to Sawyer. I think in the intervening years she has become froends with this Cassidy because she promised him something. So it is Cassidy she is cozying up to. And why wouldn't she - she misses Sawyer and is filled with guilt to see him left behind.

If Claire dies...that would break my heart...i like her and besides she and Jack has to get to know better. If there is someone to die on the finale, i hope it would be Michael... i don't like him for killing Ana Lucia (Michelle is my favorite).

What if the O6 does not get off the Island as we all think they will... the Chopper..

That Desmond was incorrect regarding Claire and Aaron (this would really piss me off to no end)..

in the Last Episode... what did we see... ?? Sayid in Tikrit.. Jack,, Kate Aaron and Hurley in California... we did not see Sun in Korea this time..

Sayid asks the question to Ben.. how did you get off the Island.. Ben replies.. Desmond's Boat.. The Elizabeth.. strange isn't it.. this was a flat out lie...

so.. the Elizabeth should still be at the island... along with the other Boat...

how do we really know exactly how Jack, Kate, Aaron, Hurley and Sun... join up with Sayid on the Freighter.. if they even do???

just because they are the Oceanic 6... does not necessarily mean they all got off the Island in the same fashion.. does it???

a few things are off here:
a.it is NOT confirmed that sawyer lives...in fact it is circulating that one of the huge "oh sh!t" moments in the finale is sawyer's death and that he is in the coffin that jack visits...there is a rumor floating around that ben is the one who kills sawyer because he is unwilling to go along with the cover story...that is why kate is so adamant about keeping her promise to him...
b. miles would have registered claire as dead...he didn't...
c. there is another rumor that michael does get off the island and it is his fault that only 6 get off the island...as a result he kills himself and he is in the coffin...

it is going to be interesting to see how it plays out...

techteach, it has been confirmed at E!Online (multiple times) that Sawyer will be alive on the island in the future.

It has also been confirmed that Jin and Locke survive. (again, at E!Online)

My bet is Michael in the future and he will be the one in the coffin.

I don't think any main characters are going to bite the dust on the island this season. Maybe a few minor ones. (perhaps Bernard, Keamy and a bunch of redshirts)

But if I had to guess as to who dies on the island - it would probably be Juliet.
