Exclamation Episode 11 Spoiler Summary

Episode 4.11: "Cabin Fever" (Locke-centric flashback)
Airdate: May 8, 2008, 10 p.m.
Written by: Elizabeth Sarnoff & Kyle Pennington
Directed by: Paul Edwards
Episode Description: Locke is enlightened as to the whereabouts of Jacob's cabin, and life aboard the freighter becomes perilous.
Guest Stars: Jeff Fahey as Frank Lapidus, Lance Reddick as Matthew Abaddon, Marc Vann as doctor, Kevin Durand as Keamy, Anthony Azizi as Omar, Grant Bowler as Captain Gault, John Terry as Christian Shephard, Holland Roden as Emily, Rebecca Tilney as Emily's mother, Amanda Carlin as ER nurse, Patrick Torres as ER doctor, Doug Hutchison as Horace Goodspeed, Nestor Carbonell as Richard Alpert, Matthew Pedersen as physical therapist, Mandy June Turpin as Florence, Sarah Duval as Melissa, Charles Henry Wyson as John Locke (age 5), Phil Abrams as Gellert and Caleb Steinmeyer as John Locke (age 16).
Flashback Spoilers:
  • The episode is about Locke's childhood.
  • It features a five-year-old John Locke. He is sweet, shy, tentative and smart. He has to take a test and becomes nervous about passing.
  • It features a teenage John Locke. He is angry, a little nerdy, defiant and rebellious. There's a lot more to this kid than meets the eye. He tries to fight back against older, stronger boys but is pushed into a locker.
  • It features a teenage Emily. She is emotional, prone to dramatic gestures, passionately in love and fights with her Mom about it.
  • It features Emily's mother. She's frazzled, annoyed, trying to keep her daughter under control and tired of dealing with her when she seems to only make one bad decision after the other.
  • It features Gellert, a high school chemistry teacher. He is intelligent and understanding, and he offers a bright student the chance of a lifetime but becomes resentful when the offer is refused.
  • It features Florence, a foster mother in her late 30s who is worn out and overwhelmed. She is charmed by an unexpected visitor she anxiously hopes might help her situation, but she turns punitive when it doesn't go well.
  • It features Susie, a nurse working the late shift who unexpectedly has to help deliver a baby. Professional and compassionate, she tries to help the mother adjust to her new reality.
  • The flashbacks take place at the 1950s. Emily Locke is giving birth at a hospital to John, and Richard Alpert is present.
  • A historic event [Locke's birth] has significant repercussions on "present-day" events on the island.
  • Richard Alpert's real job is revealed.
  • A sixteen-year-old John Locke is having an intense conversation with his chemistry teacher at his school, Cowin Heights. Locke is upset and tells him, "Don't you understand science can't solve everything!"
  • Locke just got beat up and is waiting in the nurse's office with Gellert, his chemistry teacher. Gellert tries to find out who beat him up to no avail. Gellert then informs him that he's been invited to Carson Bio-Labs' summer camp. Locke says that it's those sort of things that got him beat up. He then questions how they even know about him. Gellert suggests they sent a rep to the science fair he participated in, and mentions he got into the Costa Mesa event. Locke blows up at Gellert proclaiming he is not a scientist.
  • It features a dramatic scene in which a little girl runs out of a house and gets struck by a car in the street.
  • It features a scene with Locke and Matthew Abbadon.
On-Island Spoilers:
  • Locke asks Horace Goodspeed who he is. Horace informally answers and mentions that he is on a break from the DHARMA Initiative. Seeing the confused look on Locke's face, Horace laughs and asks if he is making any sense at all, to which Locke replies "No." Smiling, Horace turns his back to Locke, only to turn to him again, bleeding from his nose, and says that it's probably because he's been dead for twelve years.
  • Locke shows Hurley the mass grave, and tells him that Ben killed about 100 people of the DHARMA Initiative. Ben stands by, silently and looking grim.
  • Locke and Claire enter Jacob's cabin.
  • Keamy and his team arrive on the freighter. Desmond notices that their wounds are not caused by gunshots and wonders what has happened. Sayid is sure they won't let it happen again, the next time they go back. Captain Gault walks to them and Omar, who stands guard, that Keamy wants him in the armory. Omar says he isn't supposed to let them out of his sight, to which the captain replies that he'll watch them. Omar leaves, while grabbing his phone. The captain then tells Desmond and Sayid to hide in a pantry under the gully. Sayid asks if Michael is dead, to which the captain answers no - and that is exactly the reason they have to hide. Doc Ray can be seen in the background. Sayid asks for the ships' Zodiac raft, saying the only way to save their lives is to get their people off the island and on to the boat.
  • Michael is lying on deck of the freighter. Frank helps him stand up and asks why Michael hadn't told he was a survivor of Flight 815, because he was about the only one who would have believed him. However, as Michael states that Charles Widmore staged the Sundra Trench-hoax, he thinks that's too farfetched. Michael begs Frank not to bring Keamy back to the island, because he's going to kill everyone.

Exclamation 05/12 - Season Finale Filming Update

Quote:
They are filming at the same funeral home as end of last season when Jack went alone to the funeral home and no one else was there....Kate's response as to why she didn't go was "Why would I go?" as if she hated the person in the coffin. Now, they are obviously filming the final episode for this season, same place and the only star to be seen...hold on to your hats....is DESMOND! in suit and tie, hair pulled back...it couldn't possibly be Desi in the coffin could it? That makes no sense! Oh yeah, right, this is LOST...but if it is Desmond in the coffin, what could he have done to piss Kate off so much? Why did he die alone and no one cared....he wasn't one of the Oceanic Six...so much to ponder...
Aloha again folks!

Exclamation 05/13 - The Arrival of the Oceanic Six

Quote:
Lost Sneak Peek

Two pilots are at the helm of a transport plane, maybe a C-17. One chastises the other for clinging to his lucky charm; the one holding the rabbit's foot says he has to be extra vigilant considering the cargo they are carrying. These two are piloting a Coast Guard transport that's bringing the Oceanic Six back to the mainland. Michelle Forbes is an Oceanic Airlines rep, strapped into the jump seat immediately behind the pilots. The pilots tell Forbes they're approaching the Tarmac.

She goes back into the cargo hold where Jack, Hurley, Sayid, Sun and Kate are strapped in to passenger seats. Kate is holding Aaron. Michelle Forbes tells the Six the press wants to talk to them, but she can get them out of it. Jack speaks for the group and says that's fine, they're prepared to answer any questions. Michelle Forbes leaves, tottering back to the cockpit in her stilettos.

Jack says they all know the story, but if they get any questions they can’t answer, the press will just assume they're in shock. Sun: "Jack, we are in shock." Sun and Sayid do look like they're in shock, whereas Kate just looks generally devastated. Aaron is wearing an insanely adorable little overall jumper. The plane lands, and the gangplank is lowered.

The Six exit the back of the transport. Mama Reyes, Papa and Mama Paik and Mama Shephard are all waiting. All three clans are overjoyed to see each other. Sayid and Kate have no families greeting them. Hugo jumps back after hugging his mom hello and introduces Sayid, who gets the full family hug treatment.

Kate, who looks especially freckly for some reason, holds on tight to baby Aaron and looks around, all alone. I know that Sam Austen is probably supposed to be in Iraq or something (the background soldiers in "Something Nice Back Home"), and I know her mom is perpetually dying, but she's all alone, and it shows.

Smash cut: Lost!

Exclamation 05/14 - New Ausiello Spoilers

Quote:
Question: Ausiello, last year you rode in on a white steed and gave us crucial info about the Lost finale. Can you be our hero again this season and give us more on the "spectacular kiss"? — Beth
Ausiello: It seems Darlton was holding out on us. Not only is the kiss spectacular, but according to a very solid source, it's the kind of liplock that "stops f---ing time" and "makes the entire world vanish in the moment."

Question: No. Lost. Scoop. In. Last. Week's. AA. Help. — David and Pam
Ausiello: There's a fair amount of blood shed in next week's two-hour capper. And there's at least one significant death.

Exclamation 05/14 - All-New Episode 12 Sneak Peeks

Here are three new sneak peeks of this week's episode. Looks like Faraday has been time-traveling like Desmond. Could his journal hold all the answers we've been waiting for?
