LOST Season 4 Spoilers

I know there has not been much new to post about filming for Season 4 of LOST, but I did chat with our good friend Ryan@TheTransmission to ask him if there were any updates. He did confirm that over the last week or so that the LOST crew has been busy filming scenes "at sea" on the freighter and deep in the secluded parts of the forest where Team Locke and Jack first split up.

Unfortunately with the cast and crew filming in remote locations, it has been hard to get any good spoilers or scoops.

However, spies were able to confirm that some of the actors on the freighter seen were Sayid, Desmond, and Michael and that they "think" they saw Sun, Jin, and Kate!? This is interesting because this could be mean that the early stages of the "rescue" and formation of the Oceanic 6 are being filmed.

NOTE: The freighter scenes could possibly be for Episode 4x12

Also, after chatting with Ryan he did mention that his new podcast was up and that I should check it out (which I did and it was great) to see if we missed posting anything. Well it seems like there was a little tidbit that we did miss about the filming of Locke's childhood high school scenes.

During the podcast Ryan describes how had a chance to watch a scene get filmed inside the classroom and that it was a scene with Young Locke speaking with his teacher and that he seemed quite upset when he said: "Don't you understand science can't solve everything!!"

So it seems like this episode will not only explore Locke's childhood but also more about the Man of Science v. Man of Faith debate that has played a central role in his character.

Also what other potential goodies will we get this episode that link the concepts of science v faith!?

“LOST” landed in Kaimuki this morning, at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Waialae Avenue. The parking lot was staged with shiny BMWs and Mercedes (and a couple of black stretch limousines) with California plates. And as an unusually large number of extras arrived, all dressed in black, it became clear they were there to film a funeral scene.

The actors were on the set soon enough. Jorge Garcia, Naveen Andrews, and Evangeline Lilly were tended to by wardrobe and make-up, along with another young female actress I didn’t recognize. There was also a young baby getting the star treatment.

Other fans that had gathered speculated that the funeral was for Claire, but I spotted by chance a large portrait being carried into the church. A staid older gentleman with gray hair was depicted. Someone on the inside later confirmed: it’s the funeral for Christian Shephard.

The exterior scene involved Sayid and Nadia standing outside the church as mourners filed in. A limo arrives, and Hurley exits along with the aforementioned young woman carrying the baby. The group hugs and talks briefly at the top of the stairs before heading inside. Though it looked like a flash forward involving many of the “Oceanic Six” (Matthew Fox was inside), there was no flock of press.

Frankly I was more intrigued by Hurley’s companion than the identity of the person being laid to rest. And were they bringing Aaron, or another baby entirely? A friend I saw there said the woman bore a slight resemblance to Marguerite Moreau, a.k.a. Hurley’s crush Starla. But I admit that could just be wishful thinking on my part!

UPDATE: Eagle-eyed fans at The Fuselage have spotted Andrea Gabriel (Nadia) in the photos. And I’m now wondering if the baby-carrying woman with Hurley was just Evangeline Lilly’s stand-in.

Q&A at the National Assn. of Broadcasters confab with "Lost" stewards Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.

We will find out more back story as to why the late Libby was in the same mental hospital with Hurley, prior to the plane crash, and presumably after she gave her boat to Desmond for the race.

Will we at some point catch up with Emma and Zack, the two kids from the tail section group of survivors who were kidnapped by the Others in season 2's "The Other 48 Days."

To the question of whether we'll ever see Katey Sagal's Helen character (Locke's former flame) again, Darlton indicated that they hoped so.

To the question of whether the DeGroots, the hirsute couple who founded the Dharma Initiative, are still alive, Cuse and Lindelof paused a bit and then pressed for more specificity on the time frame of the question. As of where the time line of "Lost" will be when the series returns on April 24, Darlton would only say: "One of them is."

Lindelof let it be known that in a recent episode when one of the castaways (Locke? Hurley? Sawyer? I can't remember offhand) asked Ben if he knew what the island's smoke monster really was and Ben responded that he didn't know -- big lie. "Ben was lying about the smoke monster," Lindelof said.

And once again, Darlton made it clear that they do in fact have a blueprint for the series, stem to stern, and that "the last scene has been in our heads for a long period of time."

More to come from the sesh, which mostly focused on big-picture business issues and production processes, once I transcribe the tape.

Yeah I typed in Lost.S04E09. into Limewire just for laughs to see if it'd come up and like 4 different copies came up, so i downloaded it.

DarkUFO confirmed that Josh Holloway is at Los Angeles for some top secret Lost filming. What could this mean? Does Sawyer make it off the island? Does he make a Walt-like appearance? Or is he part of this season's twist?

Hehe... I have a feeling DV's just messing with us. I checked some pirate sites, and they don't have a Lost screener for episode 9 yet. But, didn't they say they'll start releasing screeners online already? Are they gonna start next season?
