| Sounds like a horror movie... I think Locke and Ben will be paying a visit to Jacob and/or we'll get an explanation of what caused Regina to kill herself. |

Could it possibly explain more about time on and off the island, or does it imply something bad happened on the freighter? Thoughts?

my quick, impulsive thoughts about the washed-up freighter body and your other great spoilers, is that it seems clear that a major, tactical battle has begun on our Island with critical strategic booty at stake ... perhaps control of our Island Collective Psyche with all its capabilities, resources, and benefits. The freighter helicopter was gone, most likely transporting battle participants including the doctor who doesn't survive, and it eventually becomes no longer "NOT YET" to detonate KJ's bomb. Think there are at least two other groups involved in this critical battle beyond our 815ers, Others, and Freighters, at least indirectly orchestrating. AND imho, Aaron and Ben are the key targets for victory. [Good vs Bad Guys. Story-wise in Frankenstein, most all were "really the good guys" from their limited perspectives: of course innocent "monster" Frankenstein, the mad scientist Frankenstein, the terrified torch-carrying Villagers, and the blind old man in the warm cottage in the forest. Diverse, conflicted groups may simply have different perspectives, hence priorities, hence behaviours, hence results. Think most of our rabidly and ruthlessly competing LOST groups are "really the good guys" and parallel the human behaviours in Frankenstein [& Shakespeare's The Tempest], but we now have only a limited perspective from which to judge good vs. evil.] My guess is that a tactical draw will result, and much will be reluctantly traded including perhaps even Aaron who is genetically intimately connected to our Island and thus, in very high demand by all. Also speculate why perhaps Oceanic 6er Kate reluctantly takes Aaron is to save Sawyeron our Island, Locke/Ben fight to keep everyone on our Island so as not to disrupt the Island function including psyche time travel with course corrections, the powerful and ruthless prosecuter of Kate strangely suggests and accepts Kate's geographical prison as her sole punishment for a brutal murder+ so as to monitor/protect Aaron, Jack's pissed at the Island deal/situation specifics particularly Kate/Aaron which he most likely may have helped to make happen, and why Jack & Hurley scream that they "have to go back!" ... to "fix" the deal/situation. Whew! Namaste - RichPundit btw, just added Green Day's "American Idiot" to my 5-disc, CD/track randomizer player ... nice complement to the other four CDs. That confirms it's number 7: "Jin, Sawyer and Locke are alive on the Island in the future."
