| Do to the magic of time shifting and Canada's Atlantic Time Zone, I have seen the entire season finale. These are just spoilers, what is below is literally what happens on the episode. If you read the following passage, you will actually be told how the Season Ends. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The castaways get off the Island! While viewing the episode, the clips of Jack are Flash Forwards. Charlie succeeds in shutting off the jammer and drowns, and it enables Jack to call the ship. Penny appears on the television and tells Charlie that the boat is not hers. Ben warns Jack not to call the ship because it will lead to the end of everything. Jack does anyways and then the final flashback reveals that Kate and Jack got off the island. During the episode you will come to realize that Jack does not take to being off the island very well; it throws him into a state of total depression. Someone, presumably Sawyer dies when he gets off the island, and Jack goes to his funeral and no one shows up. The plan to kill the others does not work initially, but thanks to Hurley, Sawyer, and Julliette it does eventually. Locke is brought back to life, and Walt (presumably Jacob taking his form) tells him that he has work to do. Locke attempts to stop Jack from calling the boat, but ultimately cannot kill him. After watching the episode, I literally thought I was going to die...the epidoe is exhausting. |

| Woo, i just finished watching it and i had the same thoughts at first i did not know what was going on and i thought it was the future when he said we have to go back to kate at the end. but... i don't know this for a fact but i read on an other post that there are 3 more seasons! If so what are they going to be about are they going back? OH, yeah i'm sad about Charlie dying but how do u figure that it was sawyers furnel, there was no clues to that well not that i got anyway... i thought it might be Charlie at first but then i remembered that he drowned and they did not get him out. So was it sawyer it makes scence i geuss but how did he die? |

| Personally I think that Desmond is actively changing the future. If he strays from his visions, I think he can fix the problems that Jack is experiencing right now. I certainly think that Jack was experiencing his life off of the island, because a) It is the only way he could have met Kate b) He talks about wanting to fly so that he can crash again c) When they show him in his apartment he appears to be mapping out how the plane flew, effectively trying to figure out how to get back to the Island. There are three seasons left, which allows for Desmond to change future events. There are obviously a number of loose ends to tie up, which can be done in the next three seasons as well. Even if Desmond is not changing the future, it does not mean that the show is over, because the period between the phone call and when they get off the island could be lengthy. Especially when you consider the fact that it is not necessarily the ship that gets them off the island. Penny could be the one who ultimately gets them off the island. Maybe the others and Jack's clan will have to work together to ensure that the returning Dharma people do not kill them because they could expose what used to happen on the island. |

| Hey, i think you have some good points and it is definitely the future... but who did jack go to see? i thought it was sawyer and others had said that two but my dad watches too and he suggested that it was ben because kate would not go and the man said no one went, also when he asked him if he was friend of family he said neither. And if he did want to go back he might look to ben for the way. Oh, yeah do u think kate is with sawyer because she said i have to go back or he will worry? |

True. I would be highly surprised if we encounter the freighter before at least season 5 if not 6. Desmond saw the flash of Claire getting on the helicopter should Charlie drown.. but as the flashes of Charlie have shown... it doesn't come with a date/time stamp.

| I noticed a few things when i watched again. Maybe I am looking into it too much but let me know what you think. 1. I paused on the section when Jack is reading the obituatuary for the unknown deceased. And it reads, uknown male found dead in Apartment. I can't read much more. 2. the music Jack listening to in his car on the way to the funeral home sounded like Nivarna from the album Bleach which was released around 1990. If this was on the radio, could he have traveld back in time after getting off the island? It would explain why insinuations were made about his father being alive!! 3. At the end he says to Kate I am tired of lying. Does this mean they were only allowed off the island if they kept quite about what they know? thoughts? |

The music isn't Nirvana's "Bleach," it's Nirvana's "In Utero" album which was released in '94/'95. However he didn't go back in time b/c he's calling on a Motorola cRAZER phone, which is current day equipment. This was discussed in the "general" forum as well.
