has nobody noticed it can't be the future because when jack and the new doctor are talking about jack's state, jack tells him to bring his father down and to fire him if he is more drunk than he. How can it be a flash into the future if his father is dead?

Then how does Jack know about Kate if it's in the past?

Ben is in the coffin. jack takes ben back with them. jack desperatly wants to return to the island after realizing ben was right when he told jack he should "not make that call". Kate is with sawyer, he's the one that "will worry". everyone hates ben that's why noone came. also noone else would be an "unknown male" remember he has been on the island for a long time, since he was a boy. I'm sure during his stay he managed to erase all traces of himself and the "others" that he brought from outside.
