| Moderator ![]() | Oh yeah, Stu -- I've wondered it in many other posts. But you do bring up a valid point...Rousseau is completely trusted by the Losties and we have yet to see her react to the Others without a Lostie around...still dying to know why she didn't trade Ben in herself instead of just handing him to Sayid. |

This does not explain the message playing on the loop, but I suppose it easily could be the start of another conspiracy. I'm not 100% sold on this one yet, but I'm keeping my options open. | |

| One wonders if she hadn't been a reluctant visitor to room 23 sometime in the last 16 years. Perhaps she did try to get Alex back at some time but got caught, tortured and abandoned for mad in the jungle. I wouldn't think of her as "one of (Kate's) own", though. But, no doubt she's quite the loose cannon on deck. Rousseau DOES have her own agenda (we've seen that).....she's so intently focused on getting her daughter back it's curious to me that they haven't explored any of the other possibilities with her (like her own flashback......hint, hint TPTB). I think she has more in common with Locke than anyone else. I also think that Locke, of course, meant to blow up the communications station (cute that they named it "flame") and I think it's pretty obvious that he wants to trash the sub as well. I guess a little C4 might come in handy after all...... I'm a little sad that this might mean someone we care about will be IN the sub when it goes kablooy |

| Lol completely trusted since when? Everybody back at camp knows her as the crazy French lady that tried to steal Aaron. The only reason Kate went out to her was to ask for her help. And Kate's questionioning of her in Par Avion only reflect the distrust of her intentions and motives. |

| Moderator ![]() | "Trust" as in they trust her more than Locke at this point...Sayid's all over him like a tarp. When they found the Others barracks, it was just Locke, Kate and Sayid together ... Rousseau was off on her own. She circled back in when the scene changed. And Kate went off to talk to Rousseau alone, she's not afraid of her at this point. |

| well my guess is that locke will do the betraying purely because he was so distarught about the things his father did to him, steal his kidney and nealry kill him, that when he saw his dad in that room his mind must have gone into overtime. plus also on spoilerfix.com we read that makes it back top the camp in episode 16 but that joyous reunion is cut short when an other has followed jack back tot he camp. so i kinda think that rules jack out, kate is onviously in the jungle with juliet aso i guess juliet has also been kicked out. that leaves locke and sayid...my guess would be locke purely because his father is on the island(s) so this compelles locke to take notice of what the others are saying. but i dont whats going on with sayid......

| Senior Member | I think it's going to be Locke. He seems more interested in the island and it's secrets than sticking with the losties. I think Locke teaming up with Ben to trade secrets and spend some time focusing on the mysteries of the island would be a great plot development and would definitely be a direction I would like to see the show head. The island has always been the one thing that fascinated me most about the show. It's like a main character in a sense. I love the flashbacks and all, but I am ready to learn more about the island and I think between John and Ben we can accomplish that. For the record, I don't believe Locke blew up the sub. I think he hid it some place. He was dry going into the sub, and soaking wet before the explosion. It reminds me of a scene in The Da Vinci code where they pulled the plane into the hanger, jumped out real quick, hid in the car, and closed the hatch on the plane before the cops arrived, to make it look like nothing was going on before the cops managed to pull in. I think it was all about timing and tricking you into thinking you saw what you thought you saw. You were more focused on the explosion, but did you notice that before the explosion, there was no sub in the background? I'm sure there's already been lots of discussion about this, but I am hoping the sub is still intact and hidden from sight for the time being.
