Episode Description: Jack and the castaways begin their efforts to make contact with Naomi's rescue ship. Guest starring are M.C. Gainey as Mr. Friendly/Tom, Tania Raymonde as Alex, Nestor Carbonell as Richard Alpert, Blake Bashoff as Karl, Andrew Divoff as Mikhail, Ariston Greene as Jason, Sonya Walger as Penny, Mira Furlan as Rousseau, Brian Goodman as Pryce, Marsha Thomason as Naomi, L. Scott Caldwell as Rose, Sam Anderson as Bernard, Lana Parilla as Greta, Tracy Middendorf as Bonnie, James Lesure as Dr. Hamill, Nigel Gibbs as funeral director, Loreni Delgado as pharmacist, Larry Clarke as customer and Kate Connor as doctor.

Present Time:
  • Malcolm David Kelley as Walt will make a special appearance.
  • Will Kate and Jack resolve their feelings for each other? Meanwhile, Jack's formed a bond with one of his captors - does he even want to be freed? And does Hurley know more than he's letting on?
  • We will find out whose side Juliet's on.
  • It explores the ramifications of Sawyer killing Locke's father.
  • Charlie is tortured in this episode and to escape the pain he withdraws into himself to write a song.
  • An epic confrontation will take place between The Others and The Oceanic 815r's that will echo a previous occurrence on the island.
  • A bunch of Others get killed when they try to raid the camp.
  • There are going to be up to SEVEN deaths in the finale.
  • There will be one, maybe two big names that have been with the show for a long time that will be going.
  • A fan favorite will sacrifice himself for the good of the rest of the Losties.
  • Someone's death will absolutely and completely blow you away.
  • An Other will be blown up.
  • NEW THE DEATHS: Charlie, Tom, Pryce, Mikhail, Naomi and Bonnie or Greta.
  • Hurley will be playing a central part in the finale. We will see a new side of Hurley, and his Dharma van makes an appearance once again.
  • Locke is just about to kill himself in the mass grave when he hears a voice telling him not to. He looks up to see Walt, who helps him out of the pit and then disappears.
  • The end of the season features a showdown between Jack and Locke - a showdown long anticipated and a showdown with an extremely significant outcome for the future of the castaways.
  • Locke goes to the radio tower, and kills someone before they make the rescue call.
  • Jack can't understand what Locke is doing and tells him that he'll have to shoot him to stop him from making the call himself. Locke threatens to kill Jack, but then backs down. Jack makes the rescue call, and someone on the other end answers.
  • Ben tells Jack that Naomi and her people aren't who they say they are.
  • There’s a big surprise involving Naomi and Penelope.
  • Naomi is part of a Dharma hit squad.
  • Ben will be left cowering.
  • The story on the island ends with help on the way.
Flashbacks:
  • Julie Bowen as Sarah will make a special appearance.
  • It features a single mother, a doctor, a mortician, a pharmacist and a stewardess. The pharmacist and the stewardess are hardasses, the doc is a chief-of-staff, the single mother is tired and the mortician is kind of depressed.
  • It also features a polite and professional 40-year-old stewardess.
  • This episode promises a Jack revelation of legendary proportions.
  • Jack is at the center of the 'Snake in the Mailbox'/game-changer.
  • The game-changer involves Jack and someone else.
  • When we see the game-changer at the end of the season finale, we will understand why the show cannot go longer than 48 more episodes.
  • There is one sort of significant event that we've been holding back that happened to Jack and we're going to show it in the season finale. And as all great flashbacks on the show are, they pertain directly to what's happening on the island.
  • The flashbacks show Jack in a deteriorating state, battling alcoholism and contemplating suicide.
  • Jack sees Sarah at the hospital pregnant with another man's child.
  • Jack goes to a funeral of a person we never discover and it rocks him hard.
  • In the flashbacks, the troubled Jack spends a lot of time trying to make a phone contact with an "important" 815 survivor.
  • The season's last line: "We have to go back!!"
Rumors:
  • The island folk will split into two factions themselves, one led by Jack, and one by Sawyer, but the division will be at the will of another, and for purposes no one will expect.
  • The survivors divide, half believing Locke has betrayed them, half believing Locke is acting for the greater good.
  • Kate finds herself divided between Jack and Sawyer.
  • Jack's father will appear on the island.
  • A new enemy will emerge to threaten the survivors.
  • The major death will be either Kate, Sawyer, or Locke.
  • Ben will explain the properties of the island and part of this is the explanation of the "door" hatch that both Michael and Sayid observed. Everyone assumed that this hatch was fake when in fact, it is actually a door that can allow access to the island's "box." The 'Door' hatch allows characters from the other timeline to be brought back.

Thanks for posting.

I kind of want the darkness to come back this season, but it looks good.

Ditto
that darkness and intensity is what made season 2 great.... but then again, refocusing on the characters brings it back to a more season 1 feel, and season 1 was absolutly masterfull.

I don't know what to expect, but since it's lost, and not something like stargate, I am hoping for the best.

Default Spoiler Update

New spoiler for 7/25. Rodrigo Santoro is joining Lost next season. Here's a link to the full article.

Meanwhile, I read that Natasha Henstridge is joining the cast for the third season. However, I haven't posted it up there yet since I'm not sure if it's a hundred percent confirmed.

Default About Rodrigo Santoro

Well, most of you probably don't know him so here's some nice info about the new male cast for Lost.

Rodrigo Santoro was born August 22, 1975 at PetrĂ³polis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He has starred in films such as Love Actually (2003) where he played as Karl, and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003) as Randy Emmers. Aside from being a hottie (looks like Josh has got some competition on the island), he also seems to be a very talented actor since he's got plenty of awards already. On 2004, he won the Chopard trophy at the Cannes Film Festival for Male Revelation.

OMG, this guy is great... worth renting "Love Actually" just to see him! Besides being a good actor, he will definitely ramp up the hunk quotient for season 3.

It's kinda wierd, coz I saw Love Actually just right before I found out about the new casting news. I thought the movie was good. A really good rom-com. Great casting, too. I thought Bill Nighy was the best. Hell, they even casted Rowan A. aka Mr. Bean! Oh, and I also liked it because it had both Keira and Elisha! Keira and Elisha!!
