I'd just show you in this post, but I'm not sure I can post Chinese/Japanese characters here, so I won't bother to try; but the character--just in case anybody can't see it on the Wikipedia page for some reason--looks like this.
In hiragana (the Japanese phonetic alphabet) there is a character that looks almost like an upsidedown question mark - the fu/hu sound. It looks like this... http://www.learn-japanese.info/writi...fu_strokes.gif

I don't know that it means anything, but it may be what pali was referring to...

Well the crop circle thing makes sense now. Pali obviously just Google imaged "Hexagram 23" and thought that looked like the best representation of something mysterious. Shame it had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the Hexagram 23 mentioned in the post, proving that this post is not a result of his/her knowledge on the subject. I think knowledge was implied by this post.

You might want to take the post off the front page..

Default What about the other numbers?

So has anyone figured out why the numbers 4,8,15,16,23, & 42 were used instead of the other 59 numbers?

Hello, all

Based on SantaRosa's research, I took the liberty of adding a few other things myself. Check out my post on the Speculation section, if interested...

Question

I think the question mark means just that. Whoever drew the map has no-idea what lies where the "?" is. I really don't think the writers and giong to go into mega detail about Dharma and religion etc. Just my views!

Joop, according to the Hanso Foundation website is 106.
Almost 40 years over the average orangutans life span.
