Default Locke and Charlie are Not dying in finale (see inside)

There's been a rumor flying around because of Kristin at eonline.com that Locke and Charlie are going to be killed by "Henry" in the finale. That was an April Fool's joke, and Kristin addressed it in her chat today:

BabyK asks: spoilers you wrote about Lost? (aka, about jack's dad and the deaths) are those true?! PLEASE answer
Kristin_Veitch replies: NO, silly baby! And I'm sorry, I thought that was clear by the endo of the first page of the column. Though, true story, I did receive an email from Daniel Dae Kim asking “Is it true?” – further proof that the cast members ain’t lyin’ (sometimes) when they say they don’t know what’s coming up. Of course, chances are, he was kidding, but either way, it made my day for I love DDK (and his bare chest) so.

Jodi asks: Why would you give away Lost endings? You never really have spoilers, so I didn't think by reading your column that I would be reading what I read. I am very disappointed
Kristin_Veitch replies: People, read the FULL FIRST PAGE OF THE COLUMN!!! Please!!

Farley_C asks: AHA! The "Found" letter on LOST's abc.com site is written by Rose -- who thinks that her brother, the real Henry Gale, is in the hatch! Am I right? Farley C
ristin_Veitch replies: As I mentioned in the column, I asked Damon about the diary writer’s identity (which many of you want to know, I know) and he graciously gave it to me straight: “It’s on the ABC site, but we [the producers] are not necessarily generating nor fact checking content. We are sort of aware of it and we sort of pitched the concept, but it sort of went off the rails a couple weeks ago, talking about Henry Gale being their brother and you know, we were a little surprised.” So, bottom line, you can still read it and enjoy it and search for clues in it, ‘cause Lord knows it’s a good, fun read, but let’s not lose sleep over it, kay?

Kristin_Veitch: By the way, I just want to say before we continue that A) I know there is a LOT of LOST info this week and that B) I am sorry for you who don't watch but that C) it is 75 percent of the questions I get each week, and I really do TRY TO share the love! Also, this week's column will be entirely Lost-free.

Vasie asks: Is the LOST spoiler you posted completely accurate? How could they kill off someone like Locke
Kristin_Veitch replies: NO. It is NOT TRUE. I don't think I've mentioned it yet, but PLEASE READ THE WHOLE FIRST PAGE!

-------kalispera asks: LOST! Is there going to be a Libby backstory?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kristin_Veitch replies: Kinda sorta. Let’s just say that you guys are going to LOOOOOVE this week’s episode! It’s a Hurley flashback and Damon reveals that “it’s very much about the Libby/Hurley relationship on the island, and starting to develop that. We actually feel that Cynthia and Jorge have great chemistry together and we’re writing towards it, and you know, it’s a sort of very sweet love story that is sort of supplanting the Charlie/Claire relationship while it’s on ice. But we feel like seeing a different side of Hurley,
Kristin_Veitch: in a relationship with a woman, is really, really cool to us and that’s basically the function that Libby is providing now on the island. But of course, you know, this big thing is dangling out there, which is that he says that he knows her from somewhere. He can’t quite put his finger on it. So we’re obviously going to be addressing that sort of continuing tip of the tongue quandary that he finds himself in.” I hear that question might be answered (at least partially) this Wednesday, so make sure you watch

psoaplover asks: So which 2 spoilers are TRUE in the column? I vote for #3 and #5-The guys from Supernatural end up in Sunnydale and find a frozen hellmouth and Spike!
Kristin_Veitch replies: PART of the Alias one is true. and PART of the Prison Break one is true.

toline1 asks: Wait, so Locke is really dying
Kristin_Veitch replies: Yes. And they're currently training those but-flying monkeys on 24, too.

------verbella asks: What did Damon say about the “rerun quandary”? I am SO SICK of all the reruns this season!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kristin_Veitch replies: “There’s 36 weeks in a TV season and we have 24 episodes,” DL tells me. “But we’re lobbying ABC for when the show is on, it’s on, and when it’s off, it’s off. So we want to air it in three acts next year. You know, blocks of seven, seven and eight. But in order to do that, we have to roll the show out in October instead of September, and hopefully that will work out.” Sounds pretty good, if you ask me. But like I said, in the meantime, let’s remember that these guys are busting their buttocks to give you one of the trickiest shows to put together on television. Honestly!

oh thank god. Locke and Charlie are very excellent characters and it would have sucked if they had died.

That schedule sounds a lot better then the random one we seemed to get this season.

I'm just glad it was a joke, I thought the season had been ruined for me.
