Default Potential Spoiler for ep 17

From secretagentman at TwoP:

"Eps #217 is called " Lockdown" and will feature a kindly latino priest named Father Chuck. Don't know which characters-centric this will be, yet."

That's interesting, I wonder what the title implies. seems that it either has to do with Locke or maybe prison.

P.S. I only posted this because secretagentman is usally a very reliable source.

Just a thought - but this episode probably has to do with Hurley - my thinking being that the kindly Latino priest could be a friend/counlselor to his family - and the "Lock Down" would refer to Hurley's time in the mental hospital.

Saw somewhere else on the board that upcoming episodes may explore the Hurley/Libby connection... Isn't Libby a psychologist? And wouldn't that be a potential connection between she & Hurley?

Lockdown, Latino... I'm thinking Ana Lucia. Maybe she got caught for what she did and was put in prison? Chuck doesn't sound Latino :P

According to the preview for ep.17:

The hatch goes crazy somehow and goes into lockdown, with Locke still inside. (I get it, a pun)

I think that it's a character that we haven't been introduced to yet.

That's an Other.

Just an fyi to anyone stumbling on these diaries. The Producers of the show have basically no connection to these diaries as far as anyone can tell. When asked the question of who the writer was, I believe it was Lindelof that jokingly said, "oh just wait, it's a very important character, and by season 5 she's leading the losties!". They had no apparent idea the diary even existed, or if they did they do it as a fun little clue thing (like with the backspeak and the whipser text). I'd simply mark it up to another marketing ploy and fan fun thing that ABC does. I wouldn't read into it too seriously.

To this point everything that would be relevant to the show has stayed in show, and the Lost producers have been adamant that any other "clue" material is simply a clue or a fun little game.

Don't mean to sound like Daddy coming in and turning off the music and telling all the kids "party's over" but I just thought a voice of reason should note on this before people were starting to think this was a huge part of the show...

Oh, and I believe that if I remember correctly the character's name is Janelle

I believe she reveals her name in the entry that she talks about Joanna dying in the water (first season, Bonne and Jack try to save her). The two were diving buddies. On day 43 I think it is Janelle either dies or something and the next entry is stated somethin like "found this diary on the beach" and is told from a stand point where both the "Others" and the Losties are referred to as "others".

It is 2 am here though and I am recalling this from memory so the details are probably a little off, but that's what I recall...
