Death on the horizon...

So we're told someone will die. At first, I thought it would be one of those random tail-enders we've barely gotten to know, but now the Lost team (according to the Oceanic Newsletter I get on my email) says it will be a MAJOR character who bites it.

MAJOR to me refers to someone who has gotten at least one flashback to tell their story. But who knows what a MAJOR character is to the Lost boys and girls.

So, let's start speculating, wishing, fearing.

Let's list who we want to bite it, who we hope doesn't bite it, and who we actually think will bite it.

1) I can't stand Charlie. He's a punk. He can go. But then Claire has proven a worthless character since the baby's birth. (My wife says, though, they can't kill off Claire because the baby needs milk).

2) I hope it isn't Sawyer or Sayeed. They're my 2 favorite on the show because they both add that element of "questionable" behavior to the characters. Sawyer is as shady as they come, and Sayeed may have more story when it comes to his history with the Republican Guard and his connections to Terrorists.

3) My prediction is it will either be Danielle or Rose. Where's Danielle been since her attempted kidnapping? And, Rose's death will be such a tear jerker especially if it happens before a possible reunion with Bernard.

Don't be shy, voice what you think.

Any gamblers out there who can lay out some odds?

i read somewhere that it was going to be Shannon. And it said Danielle was going to kill her. I also read that Jack is gonig to be blamed, but he swifts the blame to Locke.

Actucally quite some time ago it was announced that Shannon dies. There was one dude that got on the ABC fourms and said he had all of the "ins" with the producers or something and he said that Danielle would kill Shannon because Shannon has the "sickness" but in the end the dude came clean and said the made all that up. But it is gonna be Shannon who dies. Another female kills her but the killer's identity won't be revieled until somewhere around episode 9 or 10. Episode 9 is titled "What Kate Did". In this episode Kate's original crime is revealed (the one that made her mom start freaking out in the hospital) so I'm guessing that Kate kills Shannon and that will be revealed in this episode also.

They have already killed off a 2 male survivors, so I think it will be a female now.. I haven't heard any gossip regard who.. but I really think it will be a girl ..

not Claire because of the baby
not Rose, I think it will set viewer's over the edge. Everyone is waiting for the reunion
not Danielle, I think she will play a significant role in the future
not Kate, she's a hottie (required for male audiences) sorry fella's

I know that 1 female survivor has drowned in the beginning.

so my gutt feeling is Shannon..

See, I'm not feeling Shannon just now, I think she will become a vital part of the plot soon. It's like a surpise hit, in the beginning she was a waste of space who all hated, but now thriugh tragedy she has found her place in it all.

I am leaning toward Danielle. Her presence and history on the island is a mystery, and her death (murder?) will add all the more to it, plus it will tie in Hurley and Sayeed to the mix with their history/connection with the woman.

But, you know, I bet we are ALL wrong. And the death will be a huge surprise.

FYI: US weekly... (or was it People) did a run down on who might die... on the cover they showed Shannon.

The Lost Community has talked about this for awhile, although with Lost you never know. I would really like to see someone either die or have the killer be the one person we didn't expect. Claire was gone with Ethan for awhile and remembers nothing. I think her being the killer would be startling. The one thing I enjoy about all this is most of the time, even though I enjoy spoilers, I am surprised by the choices the writers make.
Anyway, my two coppers.

People are arguing that it wont be Shannon because she just bought a house in Hawaii where the show is filmed.

Uhh... I think Hawaii might be a nice place to buy a house even if you didn't work there.

Actually, the way the show is structured, anyone who dies is bound to reappear in flashbacks, visions, or who knows what. So, don't be too upset whoever it winds up being, chances are you'll see them again.
