Hurley struggles with an assigned task inside the hatch; Sawyer, Michael and Jin learn the identities of their captors; Claire uncovers a startling piece of information about the fate of the raft.

wow --so we now know that hurley gets in the hatch also somehow? could he lower down there? i dunno he seems a little ...um...big for that ...no offense(he is one of my fav's) but that would be rough

There HAS to be another entrance into the hatch. There's no way the furniture, exercise bike and washer/dryer got into the hatch the way Kate did! I suspect we will eventually seen the 'main entrance' and that's what will be used by Hurley and everyone else who ventures in.

So Hurley some how gets inside the hatch! Well I guess if the black rock can appear deep in the forest, then Hurley will be able to make it into the hatch!!! I don't care what anyone says Hugo will get us off this island!!!

PR Islander....I am with you.....I want to be down in that hatch as soon as Sawyer joins Jackk!!!! Great program....never miss it. According tothe grapevine we are going to get a lot of new clues in the next two episodes.
Best show on TV ever in my lifetime....which isn't that loooooog! :P :P

Seriously, if my man Locke couldn't hold tiny little Kate, how the hell can they lower Hurley down

It would take a back hoe.

I can't believe Hurley would even go down on his own, seeing as he feels like the numbers are cursed. Maybe the smoke monster drags him down like it tried to with Locke last year.

Errr... how about Locke makes a ladder or they find one down the hatch... or...? There's lots of options, but I agree there's probably another entrance somewhere...

I re-watched the episode again today and realized he has A LOT of windows and light down there...and it looks like natural light, maybe the hatch is partially buried?

I guess it is fake-light because it's night anyway for everyone on the island !
I thaught just like you first, what tricked me to acknowledge the events took place at the SAME time. So I guess the light is artificial

I may be wrong, if someone has another idea.
