THe second JP was entertaining, but really no need for 2, possibly 3 more. Back to the Future were great as well, but again could have been fine without the other 2. X-Men started off real strong and then just went down the crapper with X-Men 3. I guess what i'm saying is, they just don't make them like they used to.
that got my first vote. can't believe it missed the list.

Yeah, i also can't believe the Evil Dead Trilogy didn't make it either. As hilariously crappy the first two were, it was worth it to get to Army of Darkness. That movie ROCKS. Now that's the type of movie with originality that hollywood should look for. That movie has the best quotes. ""Yo She-B!tch"

i went with lotr because i loved the books as well and i am a sucker for fantasy. THis trilogy had eveything for me. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it had love stories and epic battle scenes, and an allstar cast (i though sean aston was amazing and underrated, as well as andy serkis who played gollum) pete jackson did an increible job bringing JRR Tolkiens beloved story to the big screen. (well, i suppose you would expect him to, he does have some resemblence to a hobbit himself).

star wars was a close second for me. It revolutionized the way we see special effects and sci-fi movies. (ugh but not the new ones, they were aweful! terribly cheesy lines "Don't make me kill you!".

Has anyone seen Clerks 2 yet? The scene where Randal gives his version of the rings trilogy? Absolutely hilarious.

For the budget that they had for the first movie, it is surprising it was on film and not drawn on paper. Awesome considering how much they had to work with. Army Of Darkness had a realtime hollywood budget. The fact that it made a trilogy is epic!

The Alien trilogy is a close second. If you sub in Predator vs Aliens for number 3 in both trilogies (Alien and Predator) then you would have a tie in my books for the winner hands down.

Seriously, who voted the Back to the Future triliogy as the best?

Are you joking?

I only have one thing to say about Army of Darkness: Klatuu Barrata Nikto
