I really didn't expect it and when it it blew I was in complete shock.

I chose the map, only because of the response that I had when I saw it for the first time. And then the response to it on all of the forums afterwards. That moment was disected and analyzed SO much. More than any other moment in 'Lost' history.

i thought it was one of the best bit parts in anything ive ever seen, i mean can you imagine any other series having a totally annoying character come in and then in order ot get rid of him again they splatter him all over four other main characters, will & grace cameo it was not

agree. the map was a shocker - a real OMG moment. and loved how there was a clean version of the map on the internet within a day! allowed me to ponder it much more

I was going to say the Desmond thing, but now that I remember I wasn't that shocked. I figured it out that it was going to be the guy Jack talked to in the Stadium as soon as you see him.

I voted on: The Others taking Walt Instead of Aaron.. I remember when I first saw it I was in shock, I honstly thought they wanted Aaron the whole time, My friend knew it was Walt.. Damn her proving me wrong!


Libby being in the same home as Hurley left me pretty bug eyed as well.. I want to know what's up with her story.

For me Desmond in the hatch as I watched the first season end-on-end (DVD box set) followed by the first three episodes from season 2 so didn't really have the time to develop my own conclusions. Before I saw the steps I thought that the hatch would be a submarine based on the logic of the black rock. I guess that following the forums has 'standardised' my theories a bit more.

Definitely Arzt blowing up. Even when I go back and watch it again on DVD it still kinda makes me jump a little.

The thing that shocked me was that everyone assumed that it was Aaron that was to be kidnapped and because Walt was a central character, you had an emotional investment in him. True, Aaron is just a baby and helpless, but it wouldn't have stung as much if he had been taken. Walt could express his fear more than Aaron, so we felt it with him. Plus any of us with children can relate to what Michael must have gone through.

i thought that it was going to be a room. with all this stuff in it. i dont know what stuff, but i didn't ever even think that there was going to be asomeone on the island, let alone somebody jacky boy meet before
