Default "Lost" schedule

Ok, so if given a choice, would you rather that Lost keep doing things the way they are now, or show thier episodes the same way that 24 or the Sopranos does and just show them all in a row. So, for 23 straight weeks we would have new episodes and then we would have to wait 29 weeks after it's done for the next season to begin.
I'm not sure which way I vote for this one, because it would be Nice for those 23 weeks. But then 29 weeks to wait is over 5 months. I'd probably vomit weekly if I had to wait that long.

If I was making a show I would have an entire season running without reruns and just pay everyone more if I had to. I just think it would make more sense, it'd get people set to watch it each week knowing that its going to be a new episode until the season finale, where the season will be re-runned in order for others to catch up. And those who don't follow it perfectly won't be confused by re-runs and those who enjoy the show won't be disappointed to find out they made plans to watch it just to find out its a rerun

I'm sure the staff and cast would enjoy a long vacation between the seasons.

For me it'd be a toss up... because I'llt ell ya as a new battlestar Gallactica fan, that show is hard to catch up with when you heven't seen every episode. Certain reruns might help with that process. Or maybe not.

I have to say that I am very dismayed at the prospect of another long break in this show's season. I am starting to feel abused as a fan.

Personally I'd rather it was shown every second week rather than in such a start-stop way.

I agree with marcusbm. I just wish it was broadcast in regular intervals. A new show every other week would not be bad. I just don't like to get a new eppy, then 3 reruns, then 2 new ones, then 1 rerun, etc... that's just irritating.

The real problem is sweeps months. The networks run new episodes during Nov., Feb., and May to set ad rates for advertisers. They have to reserve 10 -12 episodes to theses months in order to get people to watch. If all of our favorite shows ran straight through, the season wouldn't start until Jan. and the Nov. sweeps period would make the networks lose money. THAT'S not gonna happen.

The one good thing about living in the UK is that we have all the shows running one week after the next. E4 (a sub-channel of Channel 4) then shows next weeks episode straight after and they re-run the show on a Sunday. Maximum oportunity to view if you havent the technology to record the show and - most importantly - no damn mid season breaks!
