This board always goes into cold storage during a hiatus. Its happened every single year this site has been up.

That said, I moved to Chicago and have been getting settled in and haven't been on that much.

Personally, would LOVE Newbies posting more frequently on TTS ... still oddly think of myself as a Newbie after a year of lurking & posting. Yesterday I just got back from a week visiting with my mother in Quebec. After driving 9 hours my husband and son had ordered a pizza from a not-so-good pizza place downtown. I'm not opposed to pizza by any means, just pizza from the not-so-good place.

I'm a fan of Obama. I'm a fan of his ideals and a fan of his overall yumminess factor. I should post about him the the Gutter Thread but it's probably inappropriate to gutterize the next President of the United States no matter how yummy and utterly perfect he is.

McCain scares me. I will cry if he wins the election because it'll mean at least 4 more years of the past 8 years. The planet can't afford that.

I admit that I have not been around much lately. With me it is a combination of the hiatus and a whole bunch of other stuff that has me too busy to hang here right now. I will do better from now on, after all, I wouldnt' want BuddyTV to yank my Mod status for not posting "enough" (they did that once, saying that as a BuddyTV Mod I was obligated to post X amount of posts per week)! And I have missed all of the interesting discussions that go on here.

I mean, last time I checked, Oli was still a mod, and he's been gone longer than Ben's been evil!

They did it very shortly after the switch and agreed to not do it again with us because they realized that we were Mods before they acquired The Tailsection and that we might not be all that interested in participating in other sections of the site. I know that in the BuddyTV Mod guidelines there is something about a minimum number of posts that a Mod is supposed to post, but I think that they have backed off that in general.

SOooo Mods Jimmy12... and LOST_Grrl, why doesn't BuddyTV care after their surprise TTS investment including ripping away our buddy DocArzt? They have been AWOL for quite some time, and it seems our TTS is fading away!

imho, think there are several $$$ opportunities for them, both tactical and strategic [or immediate and long term] ... am bewildered by their behaviours or lack thereof - RichPundit
