| Interesting night...Hillary certainly did what she needed to do in order to have any real chance at staying alive. Texas and its screwed up primary and caucus thing though could put Texas back in Obama's corner. A third of the delegates are awarded in the caucus, and everyone seems to think that Obama will win that easily. I have also heard that the districts will be very important in Texas. From what I have read/seen the districts in TX where Obama is expected to win are the more populous districts so Hill could win the popular vote in Texas and still not gain as many delegates as Obama. We'll see how it all shakes out. Even if she does win TX flat out, is it too little too late. This is clearly the most exciting and contested primary elections in quite some time. For once in recent memory it may actually come down to how it all plays out at the convention. That is really exciting. My stupid state will actually matter this year--usually everything is decided by the time Oregon even gets around to having its primary election.

| Huh, how is it "Doofus" Clueless1der? Personally, I liked your previous post - RichPundit btw, absolutely LOVE that this thread has been rejuvenated, and not dying like our potentially incredible General Discussion: "LOST Music & Sounds" thread, plus the addition of our newest smart, fun, and kind TTSer Byzantine [@500 CE]! |

| Moderator ![]() | Honestly...I think the Dems are shooting themselves in the foot. With a race this tight you're going to alienate roughly HALF of your voting base when one of the candidates is knocked out. Will they automatically jump to the other candidate in November...or will they be upset enough to consider the moderate McCain? Going to be a long year |

I am very open to listening to anyone's example(s) of a single success during the recent loong Republican government domination. I'll even add my single example: Supreme Court Chief Justice Roberts ... tho' please remember the outrageous Harriet Myers Republican fiasco that preded this spot-on choice. Watching even Republican Neocon nuts Fred Barnes and William Kristol [of course on "Fair & Balanced" Fox], they reluctantly concede a deserved 2008 Republican election disaster, and now lament the obvious growing economic disaster and "hope" that Bush short-term patches could hold off a recession until Election Day. Despicable in my mind! Republicans are deservedly and appropriately doomed - Richpundit

| Before March 5th 110 delegate seperation. After March 5th(currently) 97 delegate seperation. differential.. 13 delegate gain. After Obama takes her apart in Wyoming and Mississippi we'll be about back to the 110 delegate seperation. Quote:
http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2008/0...googlenews_wsj I am very open to listening to anyone's example(s) of a single success during the recent loong Republican government domination. 1. Not one attack on US soil by foreign terrorists since 9/11. 2. Afghanistan is no longer in Taliban hands. 3. Iraq is no longer in Saddam Hussein's hands. All 3 of those things were quite successful. Its the cost thats up for debate. -TH

Like transparent, free market capitalism, Democracy works well and is self-correcting like LOST paradoxes. The Republicans are deservedly and appropriately doomed as a direct result of their loong-time failed performance record on every American issue - RichPundit btw, a recent in-depth, U.S. Intelligence assessment led and reported by our current, excellent Secretary of Defense Robert Gates concluded that: 1) the 9/11 terrorist group Al Qaeda, led by Bin Laden now sheltered in U.S. propped military dictatorship Pakistan, is stronger now than pre-9/11 and strengthening, and 2) Afghanistan is in increasingly dire straits [& not the band], even producing 90% (!) of the world's herion poppies as its primary economic activity. Iraq a success?!?? Dems the facts Ma'am!
