I'm being lazy here and not going back to watch my dvd with Walkabout on it, but did John call the girl on the sex hotline "Helen" because he needed to pretend he still had her in his life or was it really Helen who was now working on a sex hotline?

I remember when we first met Helen and thinking, "Oh my God, she is a real person!"

And does anyone else think the use of his legs were taken away from him by something a little less obvious than by his father's gangster pals?

I'm pretty sure her last name is Highwater, Helen Highwater.
