Lockdown

In the episode Lockdown from season 2, thoughts on who trigered the system like Desmond did later in season 2 so that Locke was trapped inside with Henry? We learn later how it can be manually trigered so that it drops the doors and such and that Radzinsky and Kelvin painted their map. I just wanted to get thougts on who could have trigered this to happen. Henry couldn't have since he was locked in the room. Was it an other, or was it MIB? If it was an other, what was the purpose of them doing it?

I always thought it had something to do with the food drop. It may be an automatic function to protect the core while the food is brought into the station. I think tampering with it made it a bit flaky, so I'm not sure. We might find out more this season because the producers said that the food drop would be explained.

Maybe like a cycle of every 100th countdown it automatically sends food from somewhere? I always thought that the lockdown episode was kind of like one of the other (other's) came in a did the manual trigger to make it happen. I think it was always Ben's decision to stay there and get caught and all. Not sure why though, and I feel that the producers over the years have kind of changed their feelings on that as well. We all know that the season ended with them just getting Jack, Kate and Sawyer captured so that Jack would do the surgery on Ben. Why not just catch Jack in the jungle sometime and force him to do it? There is allot about those last episodes of season 2 that still confuse me.

And on another note, how come Danielle didn't recognize Ben when she originally caught him? She said he was another, but no one believe her. We find later on, Season 5, that Ben himself was the one who came and stole Alex from her during the night. Was it to dark or does she not remember her?
