| Ok, they couldn't say much at the Comic Con this year because they obviously don't want to give away the ending. But besides some very funny moments, there were some reveals that are worth noting.
Any thoughts? |

| Yeah i watched it on youtube, there were some hilarious moments, i loved it. I think Alpert is supposed to appear in like 85% of the episodes. I think the commcercials were a misdirection, cause i hope to god the bomb didn't work. Jorge Garcia asked if the bomb changed everything, cause that would erase the last five seasons. Darlton just replied, your gonna have to trust us. Interesting. |

| I agree. The commercials are a misdirection, comedy mind-games for the audience. There's one other relevation at the Comic Con that I forgot to mention: 6. There will be an explanation of the Dharma food drop in Season 2. That's been a huge loose end. |

| HMmmm, my concern is that our PTBs unsurprisingly want both a satisfying LOST adventure conclusion AND a continuing business franchise which are no doubt interdependent. They naturally want to sustain wide interest in the LOST franchise from rabid fans like us to the not-so-rabid but hooked fans that will support a loong line of games, publications, toys, spin-offs (e.g., Fringe), sequels and prequels, perhaps movies. They also want to create, amplify and sustain stars for their larger franchise and other businesses to attract fans. No doubt this means dumbing down much, focusing on characters more than mythology, and leaving much unanswered from which to build the franchise. This strategic business approach was decided several seasons ago, and evidenced by repeated Darlton comments about their focus on characters rather than mythology, as well as their Comic Con revelation that Dharma will not be a focus of S6. As you may know, I'm a rabid mythology boy and would prefer intense, detailed mythology deeply rooted in both real and creative fictional science. However, also being a business guy, I intimately understand and accept their business needs & associated motivations. In the looong run, we will not be disappointed ... transparent free market capitalism works well for everyone - RichPundit PS - being unemployed since Feb08, I wish they would hire me to help develop and build their/our mythology and science, as well as their business strategies now and in the future ... my DREAM! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
