can't be in the same time continuum?.... but its rational for there to be a smoke monster

anything is possible in lost, maybe what we see in the the jacob on the island is an old widmore who found his way back to the island.... but he travelled back in time to get there, and maybe has been kept in that hut by the others and ben ever since.... i have confused myself a bit now.... but yeah, they look alike... a lot alike.... still think jack has the more connections to being it him BUT there is 2 things that go for the jacob is widmore theory....

they look very much alike in the 2 images i talked of!

AND

when he asked if ben came to kill him... "you know i can't do that charles".... because he is jacob?

another theory about that last part is that ben can't kill widmore because they are brothers... i heard that somewhere.... hard to work out how, but maybe more of the black and white good and bad stuff that we have come across before....

anyway a few thoughts there!!

I don't know - I just saw the Dark Knight for the 4th time so maybe I'm too into Two-Face

Maybe Ben needs Widmore alive for some reason, and vice-versa. I mean Keamy and his crew wanted Ben alive but where pretty much ready to kill anything else that moved. Ben and Widmore must have some sort of deal going as Ben told us when Alex died "he changed the rules".

Does anyone think that Jacob is the Island, an avatar may we say because he seem to take forms of people not connected to the island like Jack Sheppard (or so we think)?

nice ideas! Maybe ben and widmore both have some kind of key, to open something, and they both need the other one alive to open the door with both of the keys.... key being a metaphor for anything really... but i think they may have the secret of the island but it takes both of them to be alive to unlock it.... if you understand?

It has been months now and really no new news regarding Lost. Are D&C really going to keep us waiting that long? That is just not right! Feb 1 is still a long way off.
