Desmond is staying with Penny. Desmond doesn't have to return, since he wans't on the plane. Penny and Desmond will hide out, since Desmond will tell Penny that Ben is out for her blood. She will have to stay under her father's radar too, as Desmond doesn't want her dad to find out he's off the island.

One interesting point I found here... In the finale (I believe the second hour) Ben is with Keamy and he asks Keamy "Did he (Widmore) tell you to kill my daughter?" or something to that effect. Ben wants to know if Keamy killed his daughter on his own or if Widmore told him to. This means that it is important whether or not Widmore ordered the kill. If Ben finds out at some point that Widmore DIDNT order the kill and it was simply Keamy's decision (maybe even in disobedience, maybe Widmore SPECIFICALLY said DONT kill Ben's daughter, but Keamy did anyway), Ben may decide NOT to kill Penny. Just my two cents.

I think that Penny is dead too. To make Desmond go TotalScotCommando! (I am all for everyone getting back to the Island with revenge and justice on their minds). I hate to say it, but if I had to choose between Penny and Des and Sun and Jin, I take Sun and Jin. Pen and Des had their reunion, and it was sweet. And oh - Nice Purple - I think you're definitely right about Nadia. I think that too.

My 2 cents? Penny's not Widmore's only daughter. Charlotte could be a half sister of Penny. Charles might not even know he has a second daughter. There was a mentioning that although Ben knew everything about Charlotte, he might have gotten a few facts wrong. This might have something to do with Charlotte's interest in Dharma, also...she wants to get to know her dad.

I'm only guessing. I expect a LOST twist in Ben's revenge, though.
