Well it was basically what i figured was going to happen. That purple light though, that was the most interesting part.

The most interesting part to me was that the island didnt disappear in a "vanishing" sense. As Halliwax states in the Dharma vid from this episode, the rabbit will be sent a millisecond into the future and it will seem that the rabbit will disappear for a moment. That means the rabbit will appear to "vanish" into thin air. The island didnt vanish into thin air. It sunk into the ocean as if it was being sucked into a wormhole within the earth. There were a lot of theories that there must be some sort of wormhole in the earth that connects the island with one or more other spots on the earth. So it isnt that the island is gone now, its how it left. It didnt vanish, it sunk. I think that is a pretty big detail.

Also, and mind you I havent rewatched the finale so some details are hazy still, but why didnt Locke turn the wheel? Why didnt Ben say "Ok Locke, time for you to go turn the icey wheel and get transported to Tunisia, while I stay here and lead the Others for a few more years..."? Locke was told he had to move the island, but Ben moved the island. I find this to be odd. But maybe there was something in that scene that forced Ben to do it instead of Locke; again, I need to rewatch the finale...

you need to re-watch the first 3 seasons..

Ben had a Tumor... Something that according to the powers that be... should not happen... ever...

Ben was fortunate that Jack just happened to be on that plane.. even He says so...

in this last season... Ben as much tells Locke.. "I used to have dreams"... this in reference to Lockes seeing Goodspeed....

Ben can read the writing on the wall... Jacob let everything happen as it should in order to push Ben out... Tumor... losing Juliette.. Locke.. Richard helping Locke.. Keamy.. Alex... every single thing was in itself damaging.. together.. Ben was doomed.. and he knew it...

Ben understood.. turn the Island Moving Device on, be banished.. or else.. Jacob would have continued to exact a continuation of similar painful things... Jacob wasn't trying to kill Ben.. just get rid of him...
