Who is to say that he is actually dead. Wasn't a big point of the "Meet Kevin Johnson" episode to show that no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't die? Also, recall Hurley's conversation with Walt, three years after they get off the island. When Walt asks why everyone is lying about what happened, Hurley admits that it is to protect everyone, including his father.

Oh puhleeeze! Feeling sorry for someone that's had 3 FULL seasons with one of the most popular TV shows of, like, forever? I should be so pitied! Harold needs to count his blessings (lest he had gone the way of Boone or Shannon or Libby). He's just a bunch of sour grapes - what a whiner. My advice, "Harold, get over it (and yourself) and move on. Crying over spilled milk that ain't spilled is kind of ... well, foolish." Me thinks his wife now has TWO babies on her hands.

Well, all this does to me is confirm tha Harold is just as annoyingly boring in real life. My only regret is that Mr. Eko got bumped off so early and not Michael. Then, he could have adopted Walt. Susan had a reason for leaving Michael, and I'll leave it to her judgement that Michael wasn't right to raise Walt.

Three seasons on a hit show is nothing to be scoffed at. So quit biting the hand that fed you and go get another job. That's show biz.

Race I didn't know he was black!

First, I don't necessarily believe that Michael is dead. Right before the explosion, Christian Shepard appeared and said "You can leave now." Maybe he was transported away before the explosion.
As far as the "black deadbeat dad" angle, I never saw this as the story for Michael and Walt. From the time Michael was born, he wanted to be a part of that boy's life.Tragic cir!@#!@stances separated them, but he was always working his way back to building a relationship with him. I'm not so sure we've seen the end of this story.
