Yes, thank YOU to Russ Boyd! It sounds like it's Christian, or maybe even a whispering, sullen Sawyer. The one thing that still hasn't been established yet is what the island is exactly. Why does it need certain people? Why does Ben look up when speaking to Jacob? Is Jacob God, or a form thereof? Jacob, as in Israel, perhaps? Are the chosen ones like Locke simply modern-day disciples? Once again, food for thought. I think in all cases, there are more than enough reasons to want to watch Season 5, so my hat's off to the producers, directors, actors, and, of course, writers for such a fine series! I can't wait until...Sep. 2008, right?

I hope it's for an island sacrifice. I'm really annoyed by Kate since S03 and would love to see her tossed into a volcano or Smokie to appease the evil of the island so that those that know it's a good place can live there happily ever after. Oh, and also to give Claire back her son! >

As much as I have no love lost for Kate, I don't think she is the sacrifice required. It is Jack. He has escaped the iland and it wants him back to die for the redemption of all the others on the island. And don't forget for a moment that Ben is a bad guy. No matter what he does momentarilly, he believes the end justifies the means. And he doesn't care who is hurt. Locke is not the leader the island needs, but he sure makes Sawyer look better and better. Aaron and/or Walt will be the leaders. Onward, to the termple!
