Sometimes the Lost writers and producers do something so clever that it makes me laugh, even if it’s not funny. Such was...

I just thought it was weird that the guy watching hurley didn't know who Sayid was. They were the Oceanic 6 together, with them being celebrities and all.. but especially someone who is interested in Hurley MUST know about Sayid and recognize him.

I get what you're saying, but sometimes soldiers are given specific orders regarding specific people, and that's why he may not have recognized Sayid. Even if it is a blunder on the behalf of the producers, it doesn't really hurt the segment any.

The name of the deceased person was known to be Jeremy Bentham since Jack read the news of Bentham's death in his car in the third season finale and some fans analyzed the screen caption (I don't usually do much reading after the episodes run, and even I know that). You should have made all those assumptions by then.

Utilitarianism is a doctrine very similar to Maquiavel's political views, both of them (Bentham and Maquiavel) defending that ends justify the means. Am rephrasing this to make it clear: it doesn't matter how you do things (causing harm to people, destroying things, etc.) as long has you get what you want.
This has never been the essence of Locke's character. If you had to associate this philosophical attitude with someone, it would obviously be Benjamin Linus.
I would rest my case right here. Anyway, if pe

I would rest my case right here. Anyway, if people want to jump into conclusions on what that new name means considering Locke's character, my opinion is that in the fifth season we will see a John Locke, the new leader of the Others, turning into Ben's way of being and doing things, a man who doesn't think twice when he has to kill, use or hurt people for them to get out of his way.
