Two. Sayid says Locke was murdered and Ben was banished from the island, If Ben wants to go back and knows someway, wouldn't make sense that he killed Locke and is using all of them to get back. I'd bet money on that, especially when we know he feels no remorse about who dies and who lives.

One last thing, the 3 charecters mentioned are the only ones to appear on the show postmortem, and not in Flashback form.

Great finale! I dont want to wait 7 more months, but I will! I am also wondering about Faraday and the few people that were on the boat with him. It sure seemed like they got sucked away with the island as it moved. If they didnt, they could be picked up by Penny's boat I guess. *** RI: I dont like to watch the enhanced version, both because the notes that are added dont seem to help me any, and the notes popping up every second are annoying. But you are saying the enhanced version of the first finale hour showed an extended version of Jacks lie for the press? I will have to go check some websites and see if I can see that new info...

Claire had different makeup after she disappeared. I don't know what that means.

Am I slow? It didn't dawn on me until last week that the psychic didn't tell Claire her baby shouldn't be raised by another, she said he shouldn't be raised by an Other.

Awesome review, Oscar, and I couldn't agree more with everything you said. Of all the moments, one that really stood out to me was the Desmond/Penny reunion. Of all the unexpected twists that happened that was the one I anticipated the least, and it hit me hard. That scene really got to me! It was a nice touch on an all around fantastic episode, and I can't wait for next season.

Wondrful final...wonderful review!!! Desmond's reunion w/Penny....will go down as a classic like that beach sence in "From Here to Eternity"!!!
Jin...definately not dead! Sun is a much stronger woman in the future and I like her better that way....loved it when she dealt w/her dad.
Jack...Like his tattoo says is "a leader who walks amoung them but is not one of them". This is his fate and why he has to go back. He was a better man on the island.

In regards to the creators knowing Locke was in the coffin all along, in the season 3 finale many people noticed that the name of the dead man was Jeremy Bentham from examining close ups of the obit in the paper Jack was reading. Therefore they must have had it planned all along.

Interesting that the cave (where Ben moved the island) was freezing cold. In Season 2 finale, Penny had people searching for signs of the island somewhere near the north pole. Perhaps the island has some connection to where the magnetic field converges. After Ben moves the island, he ends up in the desert. A polar bear met a similar fate.

One question I wonder if they will ever answer is in regards to those planes that used to fly over the island and drop supplies. That made it appear the Dharma Initiative was still very active ... so someone out there obviously knew the location of the island. Seems it Widmore was all that he seems to be, tailing one of those planes would have been easy enough. Of course, I suppose they may had just thrown that in to help explain why Hurley never lost weight and then hoped we would just forget about it.

Being a writer, I have to comment again on something that is the topic of criticism often involving LOST: do LIndelof and Cuse have it all planned out or are they making it up as they go along? From what I have heard from them, they have the broad strokes figured out, and have had them all along, but the intricate details are still being worked out. For me, this is the best way to work as a writer. You have to allow the story to form itself, like a living organism. If you try too hard to structure it to conform, it becomes false to itself. A good story must grow as a good strong tree: you know it will reach the sky, but you aren't sure about the direction of the branches.
