Default "Jesus Christ is not a Weapon!" - Fish's post of the Week

So clearly I haven't been up on my weekly posts this season, but the forum's dwindled anyways.

Also I know there's another general thoughts thread, but I REALLY wanted to post with that quote from last night

I wasn't a huge fan of this episode.......

I didn't like the way that the reporters immediately were attacked the O6's stories. That seems really ridiculous. If the writers were trying to show that people had queations, I'd rather see Hurley reading a tabloid magazine that brings these things up, not reporters from the moment they walk off the plane.

I don't know why they were seen as 'unlucky', they survived a plane crash. If there were 6 survivors from 9-11, I'd think of them as lucky as hell!

I'm still not sure how the 6 get to the cargo plane. They'll have to take the boat (copter?) to that bigger populated island? But they said that they made a raft or something, right?

It seems weird that they're claiming Aaron as Kate's. Why not just say that Claire had the kid then died? Who are the 2 who survived the crash? Maybe 2 people that they need for their story to work, but who would that be?

Sun's buying Paik industries seems incredible too. I had envisioned the company to be a really big one, worth tons of money. I would have expected Sun to get a few million as a settlement, not enough to buy the majority of such a large company.

Why does Richard take Kate/Sayid prisoner? That made no sense to me. At this point everyone needs to go after Keamy. The lack of communication on this island can be frustrating sometimes.

OK, some good things.............

Jack knows Claire's his sister. I'm not a huge fan of MAtthew Fox, but his facial expressions were great. The look of devastation on his face when Kate looks over at him was perfect. Kudos

Sayid + Nadia = Awesome

I'm really liking the Ben/Locke relationship. Clearly they don't trust each other, but need to work together.

Overall, there was lots of great 'character' moments. When Sayid saw Nadia. When Jin/Sun saw Michael. Ben: "I haven't been entirely truthful" Locke "When are you ever?" Ben's "How many times do I have to tell you John, I always have a plan" Jack's frustration at hearing that Hurley's with Ben/Locke.

Glad to see Richard. Sorry his show didn't work out, but he's got a great pressence on screen for this part. Notice how all the others were dressed in that weird ren fair garb?........

and some theories..............

On the note of Paik Industries... If Paik is involved, as I hope/think, then Sun getting involved could provide a doorway to revealing the big conspiracy that I'm hoping for/expecting.

Ben gives himself to Keamy, so that Keany takes him back to the ship. They're in the air/on the boat when the island moves so they don't move too. I think that's Ben's plan, but don't think it'll work out that way.

Looks like all the **** hits the fan at the orchid. i wonder if this might be the heart of the island, or at least a glimpse at a few answers...........

Looks like everyone gets in the chopper, but how does Sun/Aaron get upp with the rest of them?

Chopper + O4 to the boat....
Crap, boat's gonna blow! Take off again + Sun/Aaron?

If that's the case I hope Des/Jin get off somehow.

2 weeks, then a long hiatus

I agree, except if you can consider that the real world accepts the plane found at the bottom of the ocean. They were told there were no survivors, this was probably a huge deal, and then randomly a few months later 6 of them are found and are miraculously perfectly fine?

Because, someone dying and you taking their baby doesn't give you a legal right to that baby. If Kate admits the baby is not hers, and is in fact the baby of a "dead" passenger, they would take Aaron. They'd find Claire's next of kin, not just say, "Well Okay have fun playing mommy." We still don't know if Claire is dead or alive. Kate feels responsible for Aaron. She wouldnlt want to lose him, especially when she is one of 5 others who knows what really happened, who Calire was, and potentially how to get Aaron back to her.

This is being tossed around in the general discussion thread. My personal take is that Paik is a part of the Widmore/Dharma/Hanso connection, and Paik Industries is important to the Isalnd and the cover up. I'd say that Moneybags Linus gave Sun a loan, and she is working with him in sort of the way Sayid is. If Sun needs to get back because Jin is still alive, then it would make sense for her to align with Ben if it meant she could uncover the truth.

I wonder this as well, and I think it will be important.

Yup, exactly. To me,this is woprth ignoring the money issue. We know the people pulling strings have lots of it. Maybe Ben sees Sun as his way of getting to Paik. Paik will be furious about it, but Sun is the person he is LEAST likely to retaliate against, making her the best Patsy.

one may also have to consider... some level of Oceanic Coverup... because... how would anyone explain a plane crash in the Indian Ocean.. when everyone knows.. this flight was flying from Sidney to Los Angles.. we still have not been made privy to why this plane is several thousand miles in the wrong direction.....

Jack... Aaron.. to hell with that.. how totally stupid... Claires mother was all but dead... talk about miracles.. suddenly come out of a Brain Dead Coma??? Christian wanted to pull the plug... to off the lights... so goodnight... I would have been happier to see mean Aunty there... but I will say this... at the moment Claire's Mother tells Kate.. how beautiful Aaron is.. I got the feeling.. we may be revisiting this... at some point.. it was just a weird little tweak I got... If Mommy was not Brain Dead Vegimatic.. and was actually hearing Claire...on some level.. maybe she has some nagging thoughts... otherwise.. she was just there to show respect for a long ago Lover and father of her daughter who presumably dies... and yet Christian's other child lives???? seem a bit over the top... but of course.. she gets Clair's dollars.. so she could afford the trip I suppose... I just didn't like it... and I still think.. Juliette or Ben tell Jack.. he already knows.. and was just felling guilty when Claire's Mommy tells him..
Or at least that is what i want to believe..

EXACTLY!!!! I figured that is why they had the 2 who survived and then died in the first place...to explain Aaron and Sun's pregnancy. Both stories have holes big enough to fly Oceanic 815 right through it.

That is exactly what I said...that was one helluva settlement!!!!

Yup again...he know who they are and what is going down on the island...why waste time with that?

Agree.

Agree. Although I am not so sure that there are a lot of Iraqi women who make out in public.

Agree.

The O6 are in 4 different places as we end last night's show...How they come together will be interesting.

I actually loved the episode. One of the better episodes this season. It wasn't "Cabin Fever"-great, but it wasn't bad either.

Lots of new questions came up after that one, like why are they lying, especially when the press obviously doesn't buy their story? How the hell will the Oceanic Six get together, since at the end of the episode, they were so far away from each other? And where will all of the others go to now that they found the freighter to be loaded with C4 (Now we know that wasn't an iPod strapped on Keamy's arm).

Anyways, loved the performances. The Ben/Locke/Hurley scenes were awesome once again. Hurley's ff was great (Loved the Jesus line as well. The Reyes is one hilarious family), and so was the Jack/Carole scene. That scene was executed pretty well. It was also nice to see Alpert back on the island, although I don't understand why the Others took Kate and Sayid. As for the freighties, I like Faraday, Miles, and Lapidus even more, still don't like Charlotte, and Keamy, my man, I love you, but you're gonna die.

Can't wait to see finale. The Orchid scenes look pretty interesting. How the hell will John Locke move the island? Season four's going out with a bang, that's for sure.
