| There are sure are a lot of Oz references going on. I wasn't in on the forums in earlier seasons. Did anyone catch that the name Henry Gale was an Oz reference? That's Dorothy's uncle. It found it quite funny that he came in on a balloon (reference the Wizard). Of course, so many books and historical people are being referenced that I'm getting a headache just trying to keep count. However, we got both Alice and Oz referenced in episode names. Still, no one in our losties cast seems to match up with the Alice or Oz characters that I can make out. CathyH |

| unless as has been mentioned.. one of the survivors.... is having a dream.... not unlike Dorothy.. and we have a Toto... Vincent.... LOL..... and a Cow with a bell... a Bicycle... in the hatch... the Island itself a strange exotic land... Jacob.. The Wizard???? Ethan.. the wicked witch of the East...LOL.... Ben.. Leader of the Flying Monkeys... or is that Keamy???? Claire I think would have to be closest to Dorothy.. she is sweet... and she has been drugged... and now she gets to meet the Wizard.. this is fun.... thanks for starting this... it provided a bit of relief to my throbbing gray matter... |

| Senior Member | Yes, we know that Henry Gale is from Oz, and so is the hot air balloon idea. There is also an episode entitled "The Man Behind the Curtain," another Oz reference.
