I have tivo and I rewinded it and watched it in slow motion and still couldnt clearly read it. There was also a picture of an old man in his locker. Mite not mean any but you never know. Any one know anything? |

| Charlie and Hurley found the Geronimo Jackson album Magna Carta in the Swan's collection of LPs. Charlie, as an expert in "all things musical”, said that he had never heard of them. (Neither had Sayid.) ("The Hunting Party") Locke later noticed the Magna Carta record while flipping through various albums. ("The Whole Truth") Undercover police officer Eddie wore a T-shirt with the Magna Carta album cover picture silkscreened on the front. He claimed it to be one of his "dad's old shirts". Commune leader Mike remarked that Eddie's dad had "excellent taste". ("Further Instructions") A Geronimo Jackson poster adorned the inside door of the locker that 16-year old John Locke was locked in. ("Cabin Fever") |

| Senior Member | Also, Charlie's middle name, Hieronymus, is just another form of Geronimo. I wonder, though, if there is any significance or if the producer's are just playing around with an Easter Egg. It seems poignant that Charlie would not know who they were considering his musical affinity, yet also somewhat shares a name. |

| Senior Member | Ok, here is some more. This is based on stuff from the Lost Experience, but that is canon so its all good. Geronimo Jackson was started in the 60s, by Keith Strutter. Before that, he played in a band called the Karma Imperative (HAHA WTF?!) They played Woodstock in 1971, but then...disappeared. It was years later, mid-late 70s, that their first and only album Magna Carta was released, after their disappearance. Did they "disappear" to the Island? I think so, here's why: http://images.lostpedia.com/images/0/01/Geronimo.jpg That is the cover for the album they released after their disappearance. It is described as a "very rare pressing" and difficult to obtain. We do find it on the Island. Notice the scenery. Looks like it could be the Island, does it not? Also, the mysterious floating door without a frame...very symbolic. Seems fitting to think of the portal between the Island and the real world as a sort of door without a frame. Also, the blonde. We know that she is likely not Keith Strutter, he was a male and a guitarist haha. So, who is she? I think it is Karen DeGroot http://images.lostpedia.com/images/8/81/KDeGroot.jpg First the look is right. she's not just blond, but she has that blond hippy look. Also, she is a founder of the Dharma Initiative, which has a ridiculously close name to Strutter's first band, the Karma Imperative. Second, she founded the Dharma Initiative in 1970, right before Geronimo's disappearance, and reappearance in some Islandy looking place. She was youngish, a doctoral candidate, and so it goes to say she would have been into music at the time. Mike, the commune guy Locke meets, could be a former member as well. When Eddie the undercover cop shows up wearing the shirt, Mike seems surprised to see it. Eddie comments that it was his dad's shirt, to which Mike replies, "Your dad has excellent taste in music." Now of course this can be taken at face value, but after you find out Eddie is undercover, questions should arise. IF this band is so obscure and hard to come by, what are the chances of Eddie, Locke, and Mike all knowing about them? Is it MORE likely that Eddie wore that shirt for a reason: to have something in common with Mike, someone he knew used to be a member of the band? OR, because we know Locke has a connection with the band, was the shirt supposed to be some sort of clue to Locke? In any case, I don't think it was all a coincidence. Finally, Horace and Olivia Goodspeed could have been members. Once again, the timing is right. Olivia has blonde hair like Karen DeGroot, and Horace has that longish rocker hair like the guy standing in the back with the bass. Also, The Musician- someone programmed the mechanism in the Looking Glass, and the code was to play Good Vibrations. A musician likely did this, and since they used a song from 1966, the time period of an early 70s musician works. Someone from Geronimo Jackson did it. So for the mind blower: Charlie Hieronymus Pace IS Geronimo Jackson. The first time he went to the Island was in 1970, maybe with the DeGroots, or maybe through some other accidental means. Either way, he was an early membor of DHARMA, and that was how he knew what to do in the Looking Glass. Maybe the black guy with the fro is Abaddon...or Walt. In any case, this band is more than just a funny little Easter Egg. The more I think about it, the more I think they will show up when we learn more about the exact founding of Dharma. Locke's interest in the band, then, could jsut be more of his pre-Island connection to the Island. |

| hey Erikua, I am currently attempting to photo enhance this image.. not a lot of luck.. but thought I would point out.. the smaller gentleman.. front left... it appears his Black Guitar.. is the bass....and the Taller Gentleman in the back is holding a guitar. Front Black Guitar.. string seem a bit more visible.. bass Strings are thicker.. I also noted the head.. on the Black guitar.. all the string pegs are to one side as best I can tell... whereas the Guitar in the back of the photo.. you can see the strings and the head is symmetrical.. which could indicated string pegs to on both sides... I understand there are exception to the rule.. however... this does seem correct as far as I have been able to clean up the photo... I like you ideas... most anyway... have to say though.. the Charlie one??? I don't know about that??? LOL.... but this is fun.. I hadn't really played with this picture... so its a great diversion.... TY |
