|  Ben & Locke Who else thinks/realizes that Ben & Locke are brothers? Half brothes, maybe even full blown brothers... We don't really know who Locke's dad is, right? It could be Uncle Rico... That's beside the point... Both Ben's & Locke's mother's name is Emily... WHEN BEN WAS BORN (RIGHT BEFORE SHE DIED) SHE YELLED, "NAME HIM BEN"... WHEN LOCKE WAS BORN, HIS MOM YELLED, "NAME HIM JOHN"... Very similar... I think those similarities are there for a reason... The writers could have very easily given the mothers different names if they were different people...They had a million names to pick from... EMILY

| please explain... how... Locke's mom shows up all those years after Ben's mom dies... She shows up... set Locke up with his biological daddy... to thieve a kidney... Locke is also informed by the police no less.. about His mom's history.. (if I remember correctly)... they look different... and when both show up on Island visits... Ben as a youth, Locke after the crash... they again are different... I don't get it.... other than... Both will seemingly be leaders of the Island... both mothers are named Emily... perhaps this is one of the deciding factors for being leader.. Mothers named Emily that for different reasons abandon their infants... Births under unusual circumstances.. unusual early developmental lives... personalities that are just a bit off the norm.... |

| When did Locke's mother show up? He was an orphan... Not to mention, he was a part of an elaborate con... If a mother came around, I bet it was all part of the con... Honestly, I don't remember his mother coming around...If I'm missing it, please enlighten me... And, his mother's history? Again, maybe part of the con... I'm trying to keep this going... ALSO That's funny that you posted it in 9 other threads...I've really only read 3 or 4 others...And I kind of skipped through the meat. I read the beginning and end...If I'm interested in the end, I'll read the middle...

| T, we have no idea who shows up. Swoosie Kurts plays the person who claims to be Locke's mom, but she is a red head and we know his mom was blonde. Emily Linus is blonde. The woman claiming to be Locke's mom ADMITS to be paying to lie to him...do you think it is impossible that she was being paid to play his mom? He didn't know his mother, she left him. Also, he is the most gullible man on the planet. What she did do was lead him to Anthony Cooper, who stole his kidney, which saved him when Ben shot him. In that case, the woman saying she was Mother Locke could have been another insider, making sure plans went as they would need to to ensure Locke's success on the Island. |

| Oh, read about the Biblical brother's Esau and Jacob. Locke = Esau and Jacob = Ben. I've posted in the theories section about them, but it is a good parallel for Lost. |

| hey erikua.. have you rewatched the show yet.... because I am beginning to question your memory... the Young Locke's mom last night was a redhead...not Blond.... not by any stretch could you even consider young Locke's mom a blond.. not even strawberry blond.... well maybe a Warm Strawberry Blond... as classified under Revlon... and still I do not discount the old Locke's mom.. is not his real mother... but.. based on the compatibility of the Kidney... Locke's fathers ability to locate him.. and his old Mothers refernce to taking care of her at times with mom in the past.. it is hard to really go beyond... it is his real mother... and yet.. it may not be..... I accept that for now... but one might easily raise this question... When Locke sees is mother.. in the heavy coat on the island.. pointing to the plane... Yemi's plane.. why would the island show him his Fake Mother... why not just Show us his supposed real mother...???? Bens Mommy????? or was thay way to early. and the writers are indeed winging it... and decided to connect Ben and Locke???? |

The Island as we know.. already considers Locke a Blessed Child... why would it lie to him... why not just use Ben's Mom.. if that really was Locke's mom.. because its the Plane Boss The Plane.. that is the true message anyway.... Locke would have just said... I saw a women pointing at a plane.. and still the plane would have been the focus.. not to mention.. and something you may have missed... how much better would this have been.... that when Locke got to the barracks.. and went inside Ben's house ans seen the Picture of Ben's mother.????? what kind of reaction would that have brought??? as for the Strawberry Blond... this is classified as Red...
