Shadesoflite, that's a very good point, definitely possible. Makes much more sense then it not moving at all. I guess we'll see how hard it is to move the island in the following episodes, Talontbo, you're assuming its some lavish event, i'm thinking its something simple that could've been done off camera by Ben in 2 to 3 minutes. There's LOTS of Ben on-island stuff we haven't seen. Its definitely possible it hasn't been previously moved, but its definitely impossible that the producers flubbed the bearing randomly changing 325 to 305. I guess we'll see. Finally, mugatu, you're a f@g.

If they can move the island, then the island has to be a mechanical made object or a living organism. Like an alien being which crash landed a very long time ago. Ben and Charles both found it, but Ben has moved the island before out of reach of Charles.

The island intents to prevent Claire from raising her son herself, in stead having him raised by someone else in Los Angeles. That someone else turns out to be Kate. This is what the 'phychic' in season one suggested in the first place. So the island has 'claimed' Claire to stop her leaving.
We know Saywer choose to stay on the island. That probably means Keamy and his men are no threat to him anymore.

zzizzicks - stranger things have happened. Seriously, I bet the mythology has something to do with the 4 toed statue. Remember that Darlton DID say they were from earth. So there isn't some weird sci-fi space explanation. That said, I find worm holes and moving bits of land a strange earthly phenomenon!

Well I am a little late to chime in, I didnt get to see the episode until Friday, but I watched it twice in a row since it was so good!!! So bear with me here people while I type out yet another novel... *** First I want to mention the body versus the rocket. Lets start with the body since that is freshest in our minds. We find the body on the island (for some reason still with stitches, which I cant explain at all). Now we see that after the body is found, Keamy kilsl the doctor on the freighter. Does that mean that the Island is in the future? Cant be, because in the rocket experiment, the rocket showed up late, indicating the island is in the past. So how can it be both at once? Maybe if you leave/enter at a certain coordinate, you are entering/arriving in the past and if you enter at a different coordinate, you enter/arrive in the future. Very weird.

I also think its very possible that the island has already moved. Maybe the island is a big mechanical, man-made floating device... I dobut it though... But I agree, Ben could have moved the island already. But why would the big answer to Locke be to "move the island"? If Ben has already moved the island and can obviously do it when he needs to, why didnt he just do that before they went to see Jacob at the cabin? The look from Claire was SUPER creepy, and yes, it seems as though she has been filled in on what is going down, so she is comfortable and confident in whtaever is happening.

So why didnt smokey kill Keamy if keamy is going back to torch the place? Dont you think Smokey would have offed that dude before he had the chance? I mean it seems relatively obvious that Keamy wont be successful, but why leave Keamy and his team alive? They must come back to the island and serve a purpose. I guess they still have work to do... The new Dharma logo Keamy looked at was the same logo seen on the Halliwax jacket Ben wears as he appears in Tunisia, which we are assuming is the Orchid logo, which must be the location of the teleporter/time-travelling device.
