I think the fact that Malcom David Kelly being in the episode is more important than this, and on top of it isn't it amazing that the creative staff of Lost is so deadset (from the beginning) on keeping the same actor KNOWING he would age. The real joke this season has been (Except for Ji Yeon) the flash forwards and the goofiness of the Oceanic Six.

I agree, I think it was a great move to have the same actor here for Walt. I mean we see him aged when he appeared to Locke and we didnt immediately have an explanation, and maybe we still dont have a clear one, but when we saw Walt in Michael's flashback, he was back to his original young self. I thought this was well done... Ill be interested to see EXACTLY why Walt appeared to have aged... maybe it is a future Walt that eventually gets unstuck in time and he needs to go make a quick comment to Locke to get him out of that Dharma hole... Although if a future and older Walt becomes unstuck in time, he would still have appeared to Locke as his younger self that was on the island, because only his mind would have traveled back in time, not his future older body. I dont know...
