johnstheman: I disagree, we have seen proof that time on the island passes the same as in the real world, hence the calendar on the freighter showing X-mas eve 2004, which it was also on the island. The calendar could be fake, but Desmond called Penny on X-mas eve 2004 and she picked up because she knew he was calling. If it had been any other day than X-mas eve 2004, she would have picked up and b*tched at him for calling on the wrong day. Weird time stuff happens when passing through the island's barrier, but time itself is passing at the same speed on AND off the island.

Micheal and Walt left the Island on corrinants that would have placed them in a Barber Shop in New York City when they crossed thru the storm. Who gets a hair cut right before they are contimplating suicide? LOL, Micheal had a busy week.

JohnnyLocke: Good point! Although I have a feeling he had to trim up his appearance so he wouldnt look like he had just spent two months stranded on an island LOL! He also has a lie to uphold, and he cant be walking around looking like a bum, he needs to appear to be a normal person so no one will bother him and possibly realize who he really is. I still wonder how he got all the way back to New York so fast and without money or a passport. And why is his mother only upset with him because he hasnt told her what happened to him and Walt during those two or so months? I mean wouldnt she just be so happy to have him home and alive after thinking that he died in a plane crash? Its just so weird... That episode didnt answer nearly enough questions...
