| <div class="btvarticle"><img width="240" hspace="3" height="240" align="left" alt="Harold Perrineau" src="http://www.buddytv.com/articles/Image/LOST/kevinjohnson3.JPG" />Michael was probably one of my least favorite characters during the first two seasons of <em><a href="http://www.buddytv.com/Lost.aspx">Lost</a></em>. He started off as judgmental and quick to anger, which was slightly bothersome, then became known for screaming Walt's name at the top of his lungs, which made him unbearable. By the time he shot two women, betrayed everyone, and took off on a raft, I was relieved not to see or hear him any longer.<br /> <br /> That's why it's somewhat surprising that I'm looking forward to Thursday's "Meet Kevin Johnson" more than I've anticipated any episode of <em>Lost </em>since "The Constant." I'm dying to see what Michael (<a href="http://www.buddytv.com/articles/lost/profile/harold_perrineau_1.aspx">Harold Perrineau</a>) experienced during his time away from the island, and I have faith that his character will be far less annoying than he was previously. To get ready for tomorrow night's final pre-hiatus outing, we have some promo pictures and an exclusive clip from the episode.<br/><br/>To read the rest, <a href="http://www.buddytv.com/articles/lost/preview-of-lost-episode-48-mee-17769.aspx">click here</a>.<div style="clear:both"></div></div> |

| I said in the Teases thread that I really think he HAD to come back - that leaving the Island undid him some how, like it appears to undo many. I wonder if we'll find that he got unstuck in time too and started to lose his marbles. People COMING to the Island are fine - it's leaving that is the trouble. So I suspect he was in New York coming apart at the seams. But hey, I am usually only about 10% there in my theories, so we'll see. I am like you, part of me wants the Losties to be so mad at him for his betrayal, and yet I am interested in his return. |

| Isn't it possible that the deal he made in Season 2 was to come back and be Ben's spy on the boat? He could have left Walt behind 'somewhere' and come back to fulfill his deal. I hope he's not back for long though, he's about as annoying as Ana Lucia. I don't think that he could snap much more than he already did seeing as he shot two people. Guess we'll find out soon. |

Also, I never found him that annoying. I felt bad for the poor guy, separated from his son for his whole life and when they finally get the chance to do some catching up (albeit because of being stuck on an island) some weirdos on a boat take him. Does anyone really blame him for being a whiny, crazy mess about it? Do we normally expect the parents of missing children to just suck it up and deal? I still think Mr. Johnson will end up being the guy in the coffin so the Michael haters won't have to deal with him for long...

| I never really liked the character of Michael, he always seemed like an annoying one-dimensional background character who had no other purpose other than shouting at or for his son. I think the primary reason the writers made him kill Libby and Ana-Lucia was because he wasn't an interesting or complex character and that was the only way to give him a decent storyline. I think the writers should concentrate more on developing established and intriguing characters like Ben and Danielle rather than rehashing one-trick ponies like Michael. Nevertheless Harold Perrineau is a great actor and I hope his talents will translate on screen and the writers change my mind. |

| Lost has been teasing that someone will die. Wouldn't it be freaking HYSTERICAL if it's Michael? They make this huge deal about bringing him back, introducing him at Comic-Con, putting his name back in the opening credits...it would be the coolest thing ever if they just kill him off as soon as they bring him back. It probably won't happen, but one can hope. The bigger question is: I haven't heard anything about Malcolm David Kelly being in this episode. How can you show us what happened after Michael and Walt got off the island without Walt? |

Anyway, if this next episode will be about where Michael has been, and Walt isn't in it, I think it's a safe guess to say it is becuse Walt isn't with him.
