| Senior Member | I would be breaking a rule if I told you that your big long Kate siggy is 606 pixels in width, exceeding the 400 pixel rule I was not aware of the siggy rule, mine is just a tad over the 400x100 rule so I will adjust that in a few. It's 400x144 and clocks in at just over 17k I will keep that one in mind when I make future siggys for myself and others. I always try to keep them under 25k and don't like them being excessively big. Wondering if the 144 height is really that big of a deal?

| Well no one is complaining about signatures. So let's just say "Who cares" about that one! Plus I have no idea what pixels and it involves numbers - not my strong point lol! Quote:

| Senior Member | If you right click on any image and go to Properties, it will give you info on stuff like file size and image pixel size. For instance the big Kate banner you got going on is 606x106 @ 24.67k. That's a pretty good file size for it's image size. When we have fixed width for the forums, anything that displaces over that width is going to expand under the left menu frame. Let's say if your image was 800x140 which is scaled up proportionately... it will go under the left menu and should also shift over the [quote] Multie Quote This Message link which I believe is probably set to justify=right. So there's a good reason why there is image size limitation for siggys as it can kinda make things a tad screwy if they are too big. That's why I am linking to my HD screencaps and posting the SD images at times. The HD screenies are BIG and do not fit in the posting space. A few HD screenies I have cropped the important parts like the polar bear skull in the desert to get a big high res/quality of the skull itself. That way we can have a large detailed image that fits within the limits of the posting space.
