That was a really good episode I posted my questions on the discussion thread.

the delayed time is very interesting. It doesn't make much sense that they can talk via satelite phone in real time but travelling to the island is a different time zone. Odd. I don't get how that works.

I don't think the opening scene was the boss. That would not make much sense to put it totally out of sequence like that, but I guess it is possible as this is LOST.

If the man knew that Sayid was there to kill him he would have started to run right away rather than slowly try to leave and pretend that nothing was wrong. He clearly was not expecting this. If he knew that Sayid was after him then he would probably know his face---since he is a celebrity. So that was very odd.

The time being different for physical manifestations on the island is interesting...Daniel got the beacon hit immediately with the freighter, they can obviously speak (radio) to the freighter folks and (video) Charlie and Penny's chat.

So - radio waves are fine on and off, but actual/physical representations are delayed or slowed when approaching the island. I'm wondering if the same occurs on the way out...would double the time lapse associated with the island.

Daniel KNEW there was a time delay - how else would he be able to set up the experiment?

Also - listen, I'm no pro golfer...but since when do the sprinklers come on when people are still golfing?

Wonder if we're in stage 2 of Ben's revenge on the Freighter People....

Yeah the sprinkler thing was dumb. It was just dramatic effect.

I agree Daniel would have had to have known that there was a time lapse thing in order to experiment. But he did also seem surprised by it---but maybe because it actually happened.

I posted somewhere else that I thought maybe Charlie was talking to a Penny of the past who will then send a "Naomi" on a mission because Charlie said she was there. I think there will turn out to be all sorts of cross time things going on where some people are travelling back in time while others are in the future.

The first part is a good theory except for the fact that the freighter people aren't owning up to being sent by or even knowing Penelope Widmore at all.

What I want to know is why Claire and Aaron didn't take off on that chopper. The entire original point of why Charlie went down there in the first place is that he saw Claire and Aaron taking off on a chopper if he did.

Good point, and due to the Flash Forwards we know the helicopter must come back, but I think this was the correct strategy. You're sending 2 men with military training (and a desire to leave the island) to the freighter first
