"...is that every episode seems to bring further murk to the mystery."

That's exactly the major problem with this show. They're going to need a VERY large shovel to dig themselves out of the hole they've created.

I foresee more "resolutions" like the machete used to hack off the entire Dharma Initiative by simply having Henry and the Hostiles gas the whole group and dump their corpses in a ditch. Presto! Dharma's storyline solved! More and more underbrush will be given the Niki and Paolo Treatment ("There you wanted an answer, how about THAT?") until the story is reduced to Jack/Kate/Sawyer when it becomes farce.

Which is too bad, because for the first season it had such potential.

well, obviously they know that, and have already thought it through... don´t think they´ll just put things in the show, which they won´t solve..

"we shouldn't expect that those answers aren't going to targeted towards evoking a massive "wow, I didn't think of that" factor."

Huh? So do all those "not"s cancel each other out?

Actually, Mark, they don't. It's a pretty simple sentence, providing you've passed the eighth grade. Whenever you get in trouble, just expand the contractions. "We should not expect that those answers are not targeted towards evoking a mass..." Do not expect that the answer will be delivered without a bang... not the most elegant way to say it, but perfectly understandable.

This may sound wierd, but I think I have discovered a thery about THE OCEANIC SIX!! And why they have been chosen. Now I don't have a lot of proof, but I do have enough. Now the Oceanic Six are "Kate, Jack, Hugo, Sayyid, Aaron, (and one more, I don't know who)", anyway, I am guessing that these 6 survived because the island chose them! They were the only ones who saw things from thier past on the island! For example, Kate saw the Horse, Jack saw his Dad, Sayyid saw the Cat, Hurley saw the Cabin! Maybe in the future, we can see about what Aaron saw, or what the sixth person saw!

That was the theory...and it is JUST a theory. I am probably wrong, but maybe right, but it is worth thinking about!!! PM me for a reply

hey Tabbara,

the sixth is Sun.. and she did not see anything.. with perhaps the exception of Her Baby in-vitro... not an apparition of some Off Island person, place or thing..But still separates her from some of the other Losties... but I am not buying it..

As for the Island Choose Them... hmmm... seems to be as good a guess as any... to what ends is up for debate..

Aarron at age 2ish provides little or no real story... possible off island Flash Forwards?? okay.. so the writers have a backdoor outlet here to exploit.. although it is a weak attempt to cover their collective bottoms if you ask me... Aarron as of now seems a poor choice as one of the 6..

We have seen Kate, Jack and Sayid... all with compelling Off Island/Future lives...

Hurley, though his Flashy Forward hasn't been compelling, it was informative from the Charlie stand point... and to the We Have To Get Back.. storyline...

Sun's Flashy Forward was simply useless.. even providing Jin's death was a waste of air time... if we can truley assume he is planted in the ground under that big gray headstone... if he is still On Island.. as most of us suspect.. then the show again provided little in the way of "WoW"... we knew there were only 6.... and why didn't Hurley implore Sun with... "We Have To Go Back"????

The subplot to the O6 seems to be contained in the "LIE" and the reasons for it.. and the willingness of the O6 to Live It... this is intriguing... especially considering the characters of the participants... or it goes to the Ease at which these people can be manipulated/exploited... as we have come to discover through 3.5 seasons...

As for the Grand Theory... Island Theory... HEMA Theory.. Bob's Theory... My Theory... Anyone's Theory...????

More and More... I tend to think there is a multiple phenomenon factor... some working in conjunction, others working at odds.. yet all happening as we have seen.. so many theories look to the Island..and the Island only... and still we have various Factions...

Dharma, Hostiles, Losties, Widmorians.. and ???????

Theories are mind candy... instead of Focused Attention.. we have applied and are applying Focused Thought.. and this has been Lost's greatest gift.. a show that truly provides a level of mental acuity.. visual recognition and as Locke would have us experience... Leaps of Faith...

Black and White.. Science and Faith.. Good and Evil..

even when this show ends.. these opposites will continued to be questioned... its human nature...
