Not being from the USA, I don't really undestand the problem.

SHows that fill the Lost timeslot could either be mini-series with 13 episodes or less.

However; even if they're not; there is 20 weeks from September through January. More than enough time for a show to end and to allow Lost to takes it's place don't you think?

Personally I could careless what time of day the show is on or the day for that matter, if you are like me ( a die-hard fan) of the show, youll tape it if you cant watch it or tune in the day it happens. ABC has been playin with the show since season 2, thats the reason why they cant keep good shows on the air. The show starts nice and ends with them screwing with the writing, schedule change etc etc. Perfect example of that would be Fox's SLIDERS and NBC QUANTUM LEAP...both shows did so well but in the end, they jumped the show so much on the schedule that they lost it in the end.

I say ABC should have Lost air @ 10pm EST. That way the show can keep its edge story wise but as K.L.W. stated ABC will tinker with the show. I really hope they don't screw Lost up like how Quantum Leap was messed up.

This is a non-story. Seriously. To even suggest that ABC is interested in putting L O S T behind them is ridiculous. ABC doesn't need to paint anything ina positive light. LOST was #18 in the top 20 shows last week. It is consistently one of the top 3 downloaded shows on iTunes every week, and the Season 1 and 2 DVD sets have sold millions. LOST is a tremendous cash cow for ABC and will continue to be until 2010. Not having a set time slot for the 4th season premiere that is still 8 months away has absolutely no relevance to anything.

Considering Lost isn't on during the Fall schedule, why would ABC include it? Think before you make these stupid posts.

Amen to Pat Twist - this is a total non-story. if anything, I think ABC should be given some credit for putting Lost on the air in the first place, agreeing to 3-condensed seasons with a specific end date, regardless of ratings and advertising income, and for staying out of the creative process.

They know they have something special - and yeah, the ratings numbers haven't retained the buzz-laden first season. Who cares? They still have a money maker that brings the demographics advertisers care most about, the show is a huge hit overseas, it's one of the most frequently recorded shows, and DVD sales are incredible.

It's time for a lot of 'fans' to stop whining about ABC, about the scripts, about the airtimes, about who's dying, who's staying, and just enjoy the freaking ride. It's been great, and seems to be getting even better.

Don't start panicking. We knew from the announcement of the short seasons that the show wouldn't return until January. ABC will probably see how ratings shake out in the first few months of the season -- and see if anything needs canceling -- and then ABC will find a home for our beloved "Lost." No worries.
