I have to say, my favorite part of the episode was when Rousseau showed up. The survivors needed around six sticks of dynamite to blow the door off the hatch. She took an entire crate. Get ready for a 'big bang.'

great episode. thoughts:

1. This is LOST people - they have told us that everyone died in the crash and that we are in hell - therefore, NEITHER IS TRUE. That's how they roll on this show. Distractions.

2. Locke's dad is NOT DEAD. Why bring the body along except that it is important to future storylines.

3. Juliet and Jack - hmmm. Not as sure about this one. but, I believe the "secret" Jack didn't want to share is that they are in cahoots to double cross Ben. She probably wanted to tell Kate that the Others were coming to the beach...Jack knew that Kate is not good at handling information (as she had just proved). I don't trust Jack, which makes me think that's exactly how the writers want me to feel. SO I TRUST HIM. Like that?

4. I agree with a previous poster (sorry forgot who made the point) - Sayid is always right. So his suspicion of Naomi (plus Patchy's appearance in the woods) gives me pause. Still, the photograph and the Penny story check out...so it's got me confus

I'm still stuck on how Penny knew to look for a seismic event (end of season 2-arctic listening station) to find Desmond. I think we're going to find that her father's "company" is involved in this "experiment/research". The plane crash cover up is perfect. This "company" obviously has unlimited resources. They needed to ensure that none of their new "specimens" were found. Any guesses on when we'll learn about Jacob, the real leader of the Others? I'm guessing end of season 4.

Im not quite sure why exactly Locke wants to risk staying with the Others. They could certainly be lying to him and could turn on him at any second. And why are they letting him be among them freely. He could capture or kill Ben at any point or could divulge even bigger secrets than Juliet to the 815ers. How can they know to trust him? I dont know what to think of Naomis story. Why would she be flying a helicopter at night in the middle of the ocean looking for a place? Shouldnt you do that during the day. And why alone? Seems pointless and dangerous to me. We also get som juicy bits about the location of the island and that its a point in the middle of the ocean near Bali where they only at first found water. Could there be some kind of atmospheric bubble around it. There were meteorologists on the initial Dharma expedition.

Also, I think the dynamite Rousseau got at Black Rock is going to be used in a possible attack on the Others. She is probably trakcing them and that explains why she suddenly dissapeared around the time the others disappeared into "thin air"-no tracks even though there is a good fifty of them.I think she could be planning to rescue Alex or kill Ben. Not quite sure what Juliet and Jacks secret is. Maybe they knew of Naomis appearance or who she is? I also think once Sawyer confronts the group about Juliets mole behavior, shell have to permanently choose sides and prove it by killing someone of importance. Also, could Penny be on Portuguese boat? I dont think theyll get the phone to work I think the island jams signals of any kind that try to pass the scope of the island.

Did anyone else pick up on the spiritual/religous aspect of the others existence. The subliminal message used on Karl introduced us to this. The statues could be some kind of old ceremonial structure. And also it seems almost like they have been waiting for someone like Locke to show up. A healer, who was able to un-paralyze himself. A Man of Faith. A leader? They seem to be trying to make sure this is true, and Ben doesnt like his role as leader being competed for. I think Locke likes the acceptance he feels and that is one reason why he has joined the others and also because he feels a connection and wants to stay with the island. Also he obviously wants to find out what it is.I like what Gams said, that Pennys fathers company could be involved in this "research" island. And he does look kind of like the funder guy that we saw in the pearl Orientation video. The guy that is shrowded in black standing behind an office building window high up. We know her father works at an office bui

...building and this could explain why Penny was able to know how and where to look when so many others failed. Her father is the funder. It all fits. He knows a lot about the island and maybe if he doesnt know the location he could still have told Penny where to look and hwo to find it.

I THINK SAWYER IS THE ONE (JACOB). JAMES IS THE SON OF MARY, AND JAMES IS THE BROTHER OF JESUS IN THE BIBLE. NOT TO MENTION HE WAS ABLE TO FACE HIS DEMONS, WHEN LOCKE COULD NOT. NOT TO MENTION, HE IS A NATURAL LEADER, THINK BACK TO THE BBQ W/ THE WILD HOG.

ok, to someone above: Locke brought the body bc Ben told him not to come back to them without Cooper's dead body.

Jill: the producers have said that Jacob has not been scene ANYWHERE before on the show & that he wont appear until he's introduced.

It's pretty obvious that Jack's role back at the beach is nothing more than a spy for the others. The only times we have seen him in the last couple of episodes all he has done was ask snoopy questions that ironically the others would like to also know! I believe he will be the one that dies in the finale. I think that next weeks episode will give us our first look at Jacob. I don't believe that would talk about him so significantly this season to not show him at all. These last few episodes of season three are going to blow some minds! Oh yeah and what Juliet wanted to tell Kate but Jack said no is obviously that she is with child. They made two references in the episode of it with showing Kate and Sawyer in bed together again and Juliet said she would have her samples soon. Why else would she want her samples? BECAUSE SHE IS PREGNANT!!! This will cause Sawyer to step up and be the leader/hero for the 815ers. They will try to take Kate and I'm pretty sure that Sawyer won't
